I agree with this, but also, regardless of monetary value, it's a display of contempt. If you're aware that people feel hurt by this dumb trend and you join in anyway, it sends the message that you don't care about them. Seems like a fair thing to get upset about.

Not to beat a dead horse but i think people who say the Malfoy trend doesnt give JKR money so who cares need to consider Gacha companies comm artists all the time and theres no link to the game or anything the art itself is a positive promotion

Also, is this a Twitter thing? It feels like a Twitter thing. I haven't been active over there in a while, and I've barely seen any examples of this trend in the wild. I think two total.

Don't these goobers have anything important to worry about

The British government is banning pornography that includes depictions of choking, incest & adults roleplaying as children. The ban goes into place from November 6th. (www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...)

Porn is fiction. As long as every *real person* involved is a consenting adult, I don't gaf what's in it. It's not real. The hot stepmoms can't hurt you. This mindset is so stupid and barbaric.

CEO of Jeep: The newest Jeep can go really fast. At this pace, we may soon see Jeeps that can drive at 6000mph, phase through walls, or even teleport. Someday, there may even be a Jeep so powerful that its engine blows up the entire universe. This could happen as soon as 2028.

"I've got a great idea for a kids' cartoon. Three teenage girls in high heels and latex catsuits get tied up, inflated, hypnotized, stuck in quicksand, grow huge muscles and show everyone their sexy sexy feet" - Some French guy 25 years ago

"Totally Spies" had a lot of those moments, and probably spread a lot of interesting feelings.

Re: "When did you first realize you were weird" As far back as pre-K age, I remember getting really excited seeing girls get tied up on TV. Sometimes I would even tie up dolls with string and put little pieces of tape over their mouths. I didn't understand it, but I definitely knew it was weird.

I remember keeping a mental index of shows with episodes like that, always secretly hoping one of them would come up. Then when it did, I guess I would just sit there feeling that strange excitement that I didn't understand and didn't know what to do with. Really weird to think about now.

Sir, our new Fire Emblem game has fun battles, likeable characters, a richly realized setting and a thrilling story. Now all we need is to have the player run around picking Skittles out of couch cushions for an hour in between each chapter

Went to respond to an email today and found that Gmail had already pre-filled the box with an AI-generated reply that I had to manually delete. Genuinely mind-blowing how hard these companies try to beg, coerce or deceive you into using a product you don't want.

I miss when technology just did the thing it's supposed to and didn't fucking annoy you all the time. Do you remember when the phone would ring and you would actually pick it up, and it was probably someone you knew? I remember that. That was nice.

The author's brazen fetish, presented with such hedonistic flair and and open pride it makes you feel a little embarassed for needing to hide your own passions behind self-effacing jokes in order to preserve a sense of safe, pseudo-ironic detachment

I'm honestly so excited for this movie. I don't even care how stupid it's gonna be. I'm gonna go to one of the theaters where they serve food and beer and I'm gonna sit in one of those big stupid fatso tootsie roll chairs and eat an entire pizza and it's gonna be great

Hearing words I've written read out loud is always extremely embarrassing but also pretty cool!
