Jason’s Defender and Drams

Was lucky enough to sample some amazing drams last night, followed by some more at the Balmoral Whisky Bar 🥃 Personal favourite of the night was the 48yo fully matured in the Aleatico Red Wine Barrique 👌

Last one tonight - Daftmill 2009, bottled at 46% 🥃

Glendronach Port Wood. Fabulous dram 🥃

Loch Lomond 12yo, single cask, bottled exclusively for Robbie’s Drams. 1st fill Madeira Hoggie. 1 of 197 bottles, bottled at 55.5%

Windy and cold outside. Fire. Whisky. Springer 10yo 🥃

Last of the night - a distillery that hasn’t been built yet, so a “what we would like to be” dram, hopefully it’ll produce something like this when they eventually get there - it’s not too shabby.

Continuing the theme of drams I’ve not had for a while…… Little Brown Dog, Ardmore. Yum. 😋 Subaru branding of course.

Not had a daftmill for a long time. 🥃

Anyone for tea? 🤔 Gotta love a Glengoyne teapot dram (batch 7)

Next up is the @summertonclub.com single grain Invergordon. 🥃

A wee dram to start the evening….,

Finishing off with a 27yo single grain Loch Lomond, independent bottling from Douglas Laing, their Old Particular range.

Sticking with Loch Lomond, sticking with the 12yo, just a different style. Single cask, bottled for Robbie’s Drams. 🥃

Loch Lomond 12 and a fire. Nights are fair drawing in…..

#PostboxSaturday I don’t often partake but thought this little number was worthy. On Ulva, a tiny island off the island of Mull……

Been on Mull this week, had a great time even though the weather was variable. Got some distillery exclusives to take home from Tobermory, but been drinking this delight all week 🥃

18 year old Macallan without the packaging from SV. Sub £100. But of a kick int he nuts to the distilleries own pricing, bottled at 57.1%. Of course we ponder why 18 year old whisky should cost so much more than 17, 16 or 15 year old whisky whilst we sip. www.thewhiskybarrel.com/products/mys...

Will be visiting the distillery soon, so thought I’d do a bit of research 🧐 And at £40 it’s not too bad 🥃

First holiday dram 🥃

A long drive but worth it #Corfu

Sunshine ☀️
