Damning new report from @democrats-judiciary.house.gov that details how Trump may have been a co-conspirator in Jeffrey Epstein’s conspiracy to traffic and abuse young women in the 1990s, including five women who directly accuse Trump of rape or sexual assault in Epstein’s close company or presence.
I am calling for the appointment of an independent special counsel who can immediately investigate and prosecute Epstein’s co-conspirators, and am demanding the federal government fully cooperate with state and foreign prosecutors requesting evidence. Survivors deserve justice NOW.
The persecution of @repilhan.bsky.social just days before an election is vile and politically-motivated. I'm leading 175 House Democrats in denouncing this. When we retake power, we have to seriously look at how we can stop these abuses of power — starting with the power of the purse.
Election Day is quickly approaching — make a plan to vote, vote early if you’re able, and get your ballot in a drop box if you’re in a state that votes by mail. If you’re from WA and have questions about voting, visit sos.wa.gov/elections.
Students who attend for-profit colleges incur costs at a higher rate, face a greater risk of their college closing, and make up 50% of loan defaults. My Students Not Profits Act protects students by stopping taxpayer dollars from funding these exploitative institutions.
Kevin is my constituent and was my 2024 State of the Union guest. These cuts will put him and 250,000 Washingtonians at risk. Let me be clear: These cuts are not about so-called work requirements – they’re about taking away healthcare from people to fund tax cuts for the rich.
Hegseth is incompetent and corrupt. He needs to be impeached.
We cannot cede total control to the oligarchy and allow them to get away with something as concerning as slowing down communications for our ally, Ukraine. Congress has power, we must use it. We need serious oversight over Elon Musk.
TV streaming. Concert tickets. Banks. Cell phone carriers. Last year, there were 30 corporate mega-mergers under Trump valued over $10 BILLION. Co-authored a report with @warren.senate.gov to expose how this consolidation and corruption is raising prices for all of us. ⤵️

Vice Chair @jayapal.house.gov co-chairs the CEC’s Trans Equality Task Force & is a co-lead of H.R. 8582 which would nullify Trump’s expanded Global Gag Rules—including the trans global gag rule—to protect human rights and public health in foreign assistance.
I recently spoke with The Daily about my work to fight for UW and the U-District, including stopping ICE's cruelty, protecting federal research dollars, and making higher education more affordable. Read more:
As more elected officials report receiving suspicious letters sent to their offices, we have to be clear that attempts to threaten anyone into silence are unacceptable. We’ve seen how dangerous political violence can be in this climate, and it’s up to all of us to stop it.
Attention middle and high school students in WA-07: Now is the time to submit your app for the 2026 Congressional App Challenge! For more information on eligibility and requirements, visit: bit.ly/registerforcac I look forward to seeing your submissions!
Monopolists have an incredible amount of control over critical infrastructure and communications across the globe. From Starlink slowing down in Ukraine to Meta shutting down the No Kings account, it’s clear these companies and billionaires need real oversight and regulation.
The cruelty is stunning, and it’s the point. ICE is smashing car windows and arresting parents at school drop off, forever traumatizing their young children. ICE has no place in our communities, and certainly not at our schools. Dismantle ICE.
The U.S. and India have an obligation to promote and defend the rights to freedom of assembly and expression. @repmcgovern.bsky.social and I are urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to prioritize those freedoms and human rights when he meets with Indian officials in the coming days.
