Cannot stress enough how much I love this series. Chronically ill girlie gets body swapped into the "sewer rat" most hated villainess' body --- and is SO HAPPY because OMG ??? I'M NOT IN PAIN??? THIS IS GREAT Drama, schemes, hijinks ensue

anyway there was a picture on pinterest of this dark red and someone recommended a lipstick shade that was "just like it" and it's another stupid sheer berry bullshit. I was BETRAYED being betrayed by "rec from random girl in comments" feels like being betrayed by "drunk girl in bathroom" idk man

when will makeup companies understand that if I buy the darkest most purple-st shade of lipstick you make, I want it to be like PAINTED ON DARK PURPLE OF NIGHTMARES not like. berry. or whatever.

I think a reason I love skeletal creatures in monsterfucker romance is cause like... "how do you have meaningful physical intimacy with someone who can't experience sex the way you do?" is something I love to see fiction explore

semi-related but this is one beef I have with vampire stories. "it'll be so tragic, watching her get old, living 80 yrs together and then she dies" you mean LIKE REAL LIFE? wow, the tragedy of loving someone their whole life, of loving them 'til the end, wow how horrible. what a tragedy.

"but then he has to watch her die!" so does everyone? old people watch their spouses die and then live another 20-30 years, that's literally how life WORKS. being a vampire doesn't CHANGE the miracle of living a whole lifetime with another person what the fuck

it's also why I get so annoyed when stories are like "a curse means we can't have penetrative sex!!!!! OH NO THE HORROR, LET'S JUST END THE RELATIONSHIP, OUR LOVE MEANS NOTHING IF A DICK CAN'T GO INSIDE A VAGINA" like what the actual fuck is that

same with we cant touch, we can't be within 2 ft, whatever issue in fantasy that makes physical intimacy difficult SHOW THEM WORK IT OUT. I get so mad when authors just fucking give up. like so when your spouse has a medical issue in 20 years that makes them unable to fuck, you're gonna ditch, huh

what stage of grief (writing) am i on? bargaining "maybe these chapters don't really HAVE to be this long. maybe I can make them a lot shorter.... maybe I can be done, like, right now..."

so there's a corner of the internet made up of queer activists who build entire careers out of like.... the sympathy they receive for queerphobic slights against them. Which they seem to have a new one every week or two.

like at least once a month I sit down and try to find the words to even begin to describe the amount of anxiety and hurt I received *from other queer people* over something that happened 10 years ago and I still can't move past and I always just give up

A year later I officially closed the queer project and this person retweeted the announcement with "Good. Now you won't be transphobic to anyone else" or whatever. And my biggest fear is someday they'll find me on here and start shit all over again.

literally get hands-shakingly-furious thinking about this everytime it pops into my head, because I did one stupid thing and *nothing* i said or did would have changed it. I was branded the enemy and trying to explain only made it worse. I think about this every time I see someone get "cancelled."

She fixed it in like 5 min but the damage was done and then it turned into "SEE WE KNEW IT, YOU USED THE WRONG PRONOUN" while I banged my head against a wall going ooommgggggggggggggggg whyyyyyyy

the whole thing *exploded.* It ruined a writing project I'd spent 3 years pouring time, effort, and money into. I basically quit trying to write/publish queer content. I still don't want to lol, because I watched the queer community EAT its own in the name of justice(?????)

I was dumb and thought if I just explained the truth, people would understand this was a big misunderstanding. Nah. I was already "cancelled" or whatever, so anything I said just fueled the flames.

And on top of everything else, since this went down while I was at work and I was panicking, I asked someone else to post my response to it on our blog.... and that person added a line to the top saying "This is our response to [wrong pronoun]'s post" siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhhh

It was my word against theirs. And I was 24 and suddenly had *hundreds* of hate messages bombarding all my accounts, and it took me an hour of digging through threads and retweets to even figure out what these hate messages were even talking about. And I was like... huh? that's not what happened?

My only real fault in the situation was using very casual language in a professional email. Literally that was my crime. I was young and immature and made a poor word choice. And this person wrote a gd essay about how this means I'm transphobic and hate disabled people.

I used to be fully on board with it until one of them basically invented a whole Thing that I allegedly did to them. They had a bigger following, they were smarter with more professional language, and worse, bigger accounts reposted their story blowing it even more out of proportion

so how often do *you* get furiously angry over That Thing That Happened To You 10+ Years Ago And You Should Be Over By Now Cause It Wasn't Even That Traumatic cause I'd really like it to stop popping into my head all the time

I am not a DND person, but all of my people are DND people. Like. I vibe hard with the DND girlies. (I have a math-related disability and speaking out loud "as my character" is so painfully awkward and embarrassing I want to die, but RP play by post with dice is my jam so)
