@beckyandfrank.com Hey! I'm setting up a series of polls to see who's the best fictional character from each state. Would either of you be willing to write a paragraph or two about why Steven Universe is the world's greatest fictional Delawarean?

Over 100 years ago, there was a rumor that Lenin's death was covered up, his body preserved, and party loyalists called out to his dacha to pose for pictures as proof of life that he was still alive. #weekendatvladdys

Quasar #17 is in serious contention for the best Flash comic ever written.

BACK ISSUE! Magazine@backissuemagazine.bsky.social

Quasar #17 from 1990 by Mark Gruenwald and Mike Manley @drawmanley.bsky.social may be the most beloved issue to their run. It is an homage to the fun Superman/The Flash races of the 60s and 70s and features a cameo of a scarlet speedster who needs help getting back home.

I write books about pop culture heroes and their creators: I've got one on Spider-Man and the Romita family. Available in print, digital, and audio. LMK if you're interested, I'll get you a copy!

Umbrage? You're co-signing on the regressionist anti-Muggle policies of Dolores Umbrage?

My ability to write jokes that hundreds of people on Threads misunderstand and take umbrage with has come to me relatively late in life.

I've never seen this cover of Books of Blood, but I've read the interiors. May everyone get as good a blurb as Stephen King gave this book!

Read this, but not with this cover. That cover is NOT WILD ENOUGH for the contents!

I read this book, but not with this cover. It's got an extra chapter that's stunning, and makes its lack of inclusion in the film even more stunning.

Book: A Clockwork Orange (1962) -Standalone- Author: Anthony Burgess #BookSky #Books 💙📚👀 🪐📚 #bookskyES #AnthonyBurgess #AClockworkOrange The movie is a good classic, but what about the book?

They find the right clone, rescue him, and leave the facility. Someone askes what's going to happen to the other 100 clones, all bred to be feral? (We know with a little bit of affection they turn into regular kids.)

Action comedy stuff ensues, the clone gets taken back by the cloners, and the dad break in to save the clone kid. There they're attacked by a ARMY of ten-year-old Baby Reacher clones.

Wake up, babe, new Azele Dazeem just dropped: the Bostoo Yook Yorters.

"So, you're aware, as am I, that I have this small packet of Oreo cookies, and you do not. I am an adult, and you are a child. You may be hoping or expecting I would, uh,quote-unquote share some of these little cookies with you."

If I started to give them away, well, now they're not "my" cookies at all, as it were. One understands. Now, what, you may ask, do I plan to do with my cookies if not eat them.

Well, in so many words, I had a hankering to throw them away in front of you. Not out of ghastliness, just a sort of mild glee." --Hugh Grant not giving a 4-year-old cookies.

But the thing is, if I give you even one of my cookies, then I'm a bit bereft of cookies, now. I'm shy of my normal count of cookies. I don't even want these cookies very much, but I really do must insist that they are MY cookies."
