Chose the electrical contractor for EV charger in my house and purchased the Emporia Classic charger (a Littleton, CO company and my hometown). Installation next month! Now if only I could get my Rivian R2 and I’d be set! …day 41 & no VIN yet. Gonna probably miss the 8 week delivery estimate. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is it healthy to check my Rivian account like a jillion times a day to see if I have an R2 VIN yet? Day 39 and counting! Have multiple quotes for my EV charger installation. Getting ready to make a choice! Now to decide Emporia Pro or Rivian Wall Charger…

What to do this weekend….what to do….

The wait for getting my Rivian R2 VIN assigned after putting my order in is excruciating. Almost 4 weeks now. Hoping my lease doesn’t end before I have the new car at this point. My excitement for the R2 is waning with every person complaining about something wrong with their R2 tho too. Sigh.

This weekend has been so much fun. Friday night a surprise birthday party for a friend where we all went to Costco and pretended to be there by coincidence in different parts of the store and then last night at a friend’s going away party themed “Night of 1000 Paula’s”. I’m exhausted LOL 😂

Is it weird the most consistent place I go to the gym is on a cruise ship? Like it’s steps away and usually super well equipped. So now I need to win the lottery and live on a ship and be fit AF. Byeeee

@quantumfiber.bsky.social is THE worst customer service company I have ever experienced. Do NOT sign up with them unless you enjoy wanting to rip your hair out in frustration. Their tier 1 tech support are more useless than screen doors on a submarine.

Going on day 3 of zero internet at home (after 2-weeks of poor service) because @quantumfiber.bsky.social can’t fix the ongoing issue; tech support keeps making it worse and the techs don’t tell their backend office it still isn’t fixed so I have to follow up. Garbage service. Don’t use it.

O.M.G. It’s happening. I just got my official invite to order my Rivian R2. One small problem—I have a lease that doesn’t end until November. Soooo we’re a little early. Gonna have to hit pause for a few weeks before submitting the order to not have two car payments! So excited though! Ahhh

I went shopping for some clothes for my Alaska trip today. Saw myself in the dressing room mirror for the first time in awhile (I don’t have a full length mirror at home)—and uhhh yeah. Not good. Ugh. Gotta start caring for myself but it’s hard to start when I look like that. So much to do.

After searching for months for a new camera backpack, did I buy a Shimoda Action X30 V2 for my trip to Alaska (and hiking after in Colorado) to carry all my photo gear? YUP. It’s insanely good. If you’re needing an extreme outdoor photo backpack—there’s few that compare. They’re $$$ but worth it.

Seriously; screw Facebook and Meta for pausing my music whenever I open your shitty apps even though I’ve turned off ALL audio and video controls. Fix it.

Just finished a demo drive of @rivianofficial.bsky.social’s new R2. I went in with high expectations from the hype—it exceeded them in every way. This vehicle blew my mind; it’s so good. In the market for an adventure-ready EV? Nothing comes close. I can’t wait to configure mine and take it home!

Guys, I’m getting a Rivian. @rivianofficial.bsky.social I have never made a decision so fast—it took 3 blocks of driving it to know I want one. I pulled over and put down the reservation money. I’m sure I’ll have to wait forever for an R2 (the R1 is too big for my needs) but it will be worth it.

Decided to test drive a @rivianofficial.bsky.social R1S today since there are no demo drives available for R2 yet. My lease on the Subaru outback wilderness will be up later this year and I want to see what all the hype is all about.

I know I needed lots of sleep yesterday after a really hard week at work—but I fell sleep on the couch at 10pm, woke up at 4am and moved to my bed and now woke again at 10am. I’m no math expert but that seems….excessive? I’ve had so much sleep it feels like a superpower.

Hilarious to me that we can communicate the whole time with a spacecraft all the way to the moon and then when they get back to earth we have satellite phone problems. What a cool thing to watch in general though! Welcome home, crew!
