My chaos brain drives me to learn, my heart drives me love, and both of them together push me forward.

This kids is why you do hire a non-doctor to run health and human services. RFK jr wants to start treating mental health, more holistically and get rid of antidepressants. Someone should unleash me unmedicated for a few days with him and see how that goes. My antidepressant keeps me functional.

I have an idea if Linda McMahon gets sick or injured to where she needs physical therapy. I don't think anyone should treat her because without nurses doctors can't function, and forget physical therapy all together.

I guess it was bound to happen, I have COVID for the first time. Don't get me wrong, it sucks, but it is sucking far less than I had imagined. Meaning I'm bad at resting. It does not suck enough to want to stay in bed. Yet the smallest bit of activity leaves me exhausted and feverish.

we need to quit letting Ted Cruz vacation. the body count of Texans while he is on vacation now stands at a little over 300. first the night freeze in 2021, now the flood. does that mean ever know what is happening in the state he represents?

Make no mistake, the over 100 people that died in the hill country part of TX are the fault of this administration. Yes the flooding was more than what was expected but the lack of notification to people is indefensible.

I turned 43 today. We had a super chill pool party last night and Thai food for brunch. So I spent most of my bday cleaning up the party, not even mad at it. While this is a boring age, I entered it being super relaxed and feeling loved. In today's current climate, that's a win!

It is shameful to know Republicans just f**ked the US for a Generation. This bill is bad for America on so many levels. I'm angry and speechless.

Today is it. I will be unemployed after midnight. I'm not even mad. In fact I have been celebrating since I found out back in April that this was coming. So excited for a new chapter!

I finally made the ugliest bread that I have ever made. 1. My dough was too wet. 2. I forgot to add salt to the dough. 3. It only proofed it for 2 hours because it was gonna explode out of the bowl. Can't wait to see if it tastes better than it looks.

I just wrapped up dog/house sitting for a buddy. I always stay an extra day so I can hang with him. Today I realized he gets as sad as the dogs do when I go home. I had to remind him it is almost summer, and there will be random days he finds me in his pool when he gets home from work. 🤣

Anyone else want to send a combo apology/congrats letter to Mark Carney? "Sorry you had to meet with our imbecile president, but congrats on controlling your face. " I for one do not control my face, you say something stupid my face is gonna let you know.

Normally I arrange my home library by subject and last name. I wonder what my library would look like if I arranged it with a section for Authors Who Are Crap Humans? Would it then look disorganized? Because I still read books by crap humans if they're good.

This is a big reason I like my current therapist so much. Her: what you described sounds like Sensory Processing Disorder. Me: yep, I've always had issues with it, but you were the first person that actually asked me about it. I just assumed I was weird.

The move the IRS made today that puts undocumented people who pay taxes in peril, by turning their info over ICE, is sickening. Because of that, I will not be renewing my EA license when it is due next year, effectively shutting down my business. One of the hardest emails to send to clients.

It has been 7 years since my last tattoo, it might be time for another. I'll be 43 in a few months, so has anyone gotten a tat in their 40's? If so, is the healing pretty similar to your 20s or a it worse? I'm a bit apprehensive.

So I'm getting laid off on June 28. I'm honestly ok with this, I love they gave us notice. I'm returning to work tonight after being on medical leave for the last month and a half 3 weeks part time on a different shift, then a week off, then back to my normal shift full time. Not bad

My therapist thinks I have PTSD. Umm, I know I do. So I gave her the preview of stuff we will go over when my panic attacks are fully under control. I also told her this is why I smoke the greens. She got it. But I was able to say today for the first time in 15 years, I'm happy.

Just had a random guy ask me out and tell me I'm cute. I have no makeup on, my hair is dirty and in a ball on my head, and I was in my PJs (in my front yard). My response: nooooope I don't date. My mental health likes it that way. What I should have said; that's weird, go away

In another day of TX being absolute hell on earth... The TX Senate just passed a bill to order govt agencies in TX to not enforce Red Flag laws. You know the ones the US Supreme Court refused to overturn. Women will be the biggest group affected. This state is doing it's best to be male only

I was just given the book of Mormon by well ..some mormans. The missionaries learned quickly I'm an atheist, so they know full well it won't change anything. But oh the nerdy fun I'm gonna have picking this apart.

Wanna know something amazing. I have had my phone for a year and the screen is not cracked yet. If you know me, you know I'm the queen of cracked screens. I finally bought a case when I bought the phone. It only took 42 years for me to finally become an adult! 🤣

Is anyone truly surprised the Trump Admin can't seem to treat classified info as classified? The only surprising thing is that it is not surprising, yet it should be. This is beyond embarrassing.

Pt 2 of 2 To where we are now where meds can suppress the virus to undetectable levels. All of this was possible thanks to researchers and the work they did to understand the virus. HHS just cut off funding from 22 Uni's. Possibly setting back the strides we made. Total A-hole move.

Pt 1 of 2 When I was a child in the 80s a diagnosis of HIV was a death sentence. In the 90s from 13 to 16 I volunteered at an AIDS hospice reading to patients. By my 20s we had treatment that prevented HIV from turning in to AIDS.

Does anyone else feel like the only budgeting skills we learned in school was how to spend $20 at the scholastic book fair? Seriously, I would spend a few days ahead with the list working out how to maximize the amount of books I got. Now I'm this way with produce.

Today's lesson on how not to be an a-hole: There are 6000 recognized religions. When you try to force your beliefs on another person, or champion laws based on one religion's moral code, you are an A-hole. So TX Senate: you are an A-hole for trying to force religion in schools.

I know the exact moment I started hating going out in sunshine. It came 4 years ago when my eyes got sunburned. I have blonde retina. My retina is orange not red. It's also why I'm crazy sensitive to light. So yes, my relationship with the sun is complicated 🤣

There is no better feeling than when you get to tell your therapist that you haven't had any anxiety for the last week. Or as I put the first week I haven't felt anxious since I was 16. After ignoring my mental health for the last 15 years. Any and all progress shall be celebrated!

Holy crap, I just found out a woman I have known my whole life and thought was old when I was a child just turned 104 and is active. She has been alive long enough to see her great great grandchildren. I cannot wrap my brain around that.

First post! My posts will cover the following topics: community work, politics, music, science and gardening. And how not to be an a hole. Oh and I'm weird. You have been warned. 🤣

You are up to date.
