When I was a little tiny larval human I constantly misheard song lyrics in such a way as to hear the names of characters from shows and movies. Is that normal

"Sweet dreams are made of these, who am I to disagree?" became "Cooler reminds to disagree" as in Cooler Dragonballz

I generally like to use japanese titles when I prefer the show subbed and english titles for shows I prefer dubbed, but will break the rule for titles that roll off the tongue easier in the other language. Dungeon Meshi's dub is great but Dungeon Meshi is a better title than Delicious in Dungeon

Discord must really be feeling pressure to recoup lost nitro revenue if they're resorting to ever-so-slightly improving the service

I've never really been the type to put a ton of stock into New Years resolutions, because so much of life is dealing with all of the things that are unforeseen and out of your control, that to really commit to a resolution seems to me like the same thing as daring the universe to make it impossible

So, I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, 2026 has been a nightmare year for me. I've had health scares and anxiety issues and money troubles and I keep getting SICK for some reason!!! Microsoft is trying to squeeze every ounce of creativity out of me before they let me go.

BUT, despite all that!!!!! The good news is, against all odds, I discovered tonight that so far, in 2026, I have written and finished: TEN different songs!!! All original work, all coming to a bandcamp near you as soon as I think they're fit for human consumption. And I'm working on eleven!

Excluding covers, I'm pretty sure that in 2025 I literally only wrote 2 more songs than I released, so probably 4 total overall. But I have 40 different project files at various levels of completion that just never got past the finish line! (I'll probably release the other 2 later!)

So it's hard to be disappointed with that because even though I didn't "write 12 finished songs" I'm confident I more than made up for it with the unfinished stuff that ended up being just for me. But I'm no quitter! So when 2025 came and went, and 2026 came up to bat, I said let's try again

In October of 2024 I decided essentially on a whim to release Growth, my funny little compilation album of all the music I had written to the point of being "listenable" since I started writing in 2015. But after it was out, I was disappointed that it was "only 20 songs long"

nearly a decade of practice and about 2 songs a year to show for it? Sure, I know everyone works at their own speed but come on, I had to be capable of more. So in 2025, I told myself I wanted to buckle down and write 12 songs by the end of the year, at least one per month.

That being said, that never stops me from making them, and hoping that I'll reach them anyway! I think I might be doing it wrong sometimes because I always like to go out of my way to try and set goals that aren't necessarily likely to pan out, but still aren't unrealistic if something goes right

Remember, it's always popular to hate on anything with Nintendo written on it, and people are hungry for that five seconds of internet points. If you're excited for the remake or the movie please try not to let the haters dampen that for you. It's nice to look forward to things.

I stay throwing my new songs up here and sharing other folks' art that needs support, but what gets 10x the attention is takes, dumb jokes, pretty uncontroversial political stances presented in my tone. well here's a take, artists are starving for your eyes here.

I have a lot of strange thoughts and strong feelings but I am afraid that trying to share them will alienate my friends, and I feel alone enough as is! Am I just incompatible with a space like this? Again: real, sincere question.

actual real sincere question for yall: how am I supposed to use this website? 80% of the time I'm here I feel pretty bad and I don't know if that's a conditioned response or just because I find out about the horrors here but I am not doing so hot, and I would like to be doing hot
