Today’s CrossCountry experience on the way back from Birmingham… “If you need the toilet we advise getting off at Macclesfield and getting the next train”

Don’t mind me, just picking up an E for my alphabet! Surprised it’s taken this long to do my first Birmingham parkrun #parkrun

I guess you could say this is the start of me building up to a big deal marathon next year? 👀 👀 I’ve had a hard health week so this was difficult to drag myself around, but still outperformed where I should! #parkrun

Back at one of my favourites! It was a suitably moist morning! #parkrun

I’ve been feeling awful, I’ve been in so much pain, everything has been hard Yet SOMEHOW I just managed to set a parkrun PB! First time since radiosurgery knocked me back! ❤️❤️ #parkrun

I've only gone and bloody done it! It was hard work but I managed the whole 10k with no walking breaks! Thank you so much to everybody who donated to the fundraiser it means so much to me!

Running has been particularly difficult recently but trying my best! #parkrun

And while I’m getting on my ranting stool App developers, can you at least open your apps on devices with a larger font size so you can see how bad it is? I don’t want or need perfection, but you do have a habit of leaving some things that make it unusable like buttons of the screen Thx babes ❤️

After walking the last 3 parkruns, this was my first week back running one and my body fought back against me! Still got it done, and nice to have an overnight trip away! It’s a beautiful parkrun location! #parkrun

Today I realised that life is too short to let my various conditions win Therefore I’m on an impulsive adventure away from home. It’s not a big trip, and it’s not a filming trip, and I’ll pay the price for it, but it’s a trip. I’m taking control

We really don’t have enough seating in this world I don’t mean “just a bit too little”, I mean, absolutely nowhere near scratching the surface of being enough

A positive though, I’ve been out all day I’m not feeling broken This is significant progress!

I had to deal with an obnoxious man opposite me on the train back from Birmingham who really wanted to stretch out into my personal space. I overheard he needs to transfer on the tram to Victoria... He just also got on my Alty tram. This does not go to Vic This gives me mild joy

I did a thing! First run in a few weeks and I don’t seem to have broken myself more so that’s progress I guess!

This might be a terrible idea…

Still taking it easy so this week I was parkwalking at Hanley, which is a brilliant parkrun. Spent the whole time gossiping away with Sue the tailwalker… love the community! #parkrun

OK so who deployed to production on a Friday evening?!

There are now going to be many many people turning off emergency alerts if it gets used like this It actively harms the system if it's misused.

Also, that was not an okay use of the emergency system. It's for "shit's going down, you need to act now" situations The risk of wildfires is really bad, yes, I'm not doubting it, but that's not the system to use.
