"Nothing ever dies; everything is infinite. We've been taught a watered-down version of what "time and space" is, that we're in a three-dimensional reality, which we are not. We're in a multidimensional reality." Jack DeJohnette August 9, 1942 - October 26, 2025

These and others have been offered space at a show in New Delhi next year …first thoughts were ‘is this a scam’ but doesn’t appear so. The costs of sending them though… sheesh!

Just added this and another to the website...looking a bit cluttered and like it needs a good prune and edit....but please take a look, many are for sale....www.jerrysimcock.com

Down at the studio. Cold there today and the stove won’t be in for a couple of weeks. Going to do some watercolour in the garage and stretch some canvasses today. Slowly getting back into things .

"All things come through grace, there's nothing you can do about it. And when you realise that whatever comes to you comes through grace, then you become tolerant. When we do not understand grace, that is the reason we become intolerant." Happy Birthday Abdullah Ibrahim born 9 October 1934

Chagall museum in Nice - visited on Friday. These photos flatten out the colour.. in reality they are so vibrant. There was also a great documentary on Chagall’s life - what a man, what times he lived and worked through…

Today’s Canadian painting is “Mother and Child” painted by Norval Morrisseau in 2005. This is Truth and Rconciliation Day in Canada, a day to remember the harms done to Canada’s first peoples.

Had a last splashabout in the studio yesterday before we set off on our travels to Italy by train…won’t be posting much for awhile but we are taking sketchbooks…

Sat this in the back of the old guilt frame. I soaked and scraped all the old glued tape off the frame to reveal it was made in Belgium! Looks quite good I think but will eventually go for a light box frame if I show it. Roughly 90 x 60 cms and for sale if anyone wants it!
