One of the most flashy things I've ever worked on is currently out in the wild but the thing to know about me as a professional is that it's a real Mike Wazowski situation.

We acquired a stand mixer so I made cake from scratch. I was not familiar with stand mixer's game so the cake turned out super dense (overmixed), but still good!

I normally don't get into games that are too work-like but Dressmaker has managed to subvert that by being like. This would be my ideal job. Client comes in with a clearly defined list of expectations and I can do whatever I want beyond that. Also get dished in on the local tea. 🍵

Working in ad design was a little like that but the client expectations were a secret until at least the first draft and the tea was more like 'this business name turns into a suspicious acronym and I don't think it was an accident.'

My toxic trait is that I will let myself get talked like 60% into a sales pitch before the part of me that gets annoyed by pushy tactics awakens and I change my mind. Like, you sly dog, you got me trapped in a conversation that I can't shut down without feeling rude.

I don't have any good ones but a tangental story I think is funny but I was in a group interview for a chocolate factory where we had to compete in 5 tasks and on the first one a woman just got up and left. She inspires me.

To paint the scene it was like, a BIG room and there was a long way between where the applicants were sitting and the doors, so it was not a quick and subtle exit.

It's important to stay in contact with old coworkers, so when you are having a rough day you can hear about how your old CEO sent out a company wide email on how to hold a cup of coffee while walking because one person accidentally spilled their coffee on the carpet.

People on tumblr point out that I have made Sherma French and I admit I was so tired after finishing it I just yoinked the first thing I got on my search when I looked for lyrics to Sherma's song.

Putting my faith in those allergy commercials that show the high powered business woman who has too many important meetings to be slowed down.

I have a renewed appreciation for all of the pretty Dressmaker dresses I see online because I'm sitting here contemplating this wario-ass dress I made.

I looked up Fields of Mistria fanart for the first time, since I'm far enough to not fear spoilers, and my reaction to every fanart has been "ohhhh I should have romanced them too!"

Went to a figure drawing meet up and it was exactly what my soul needed. The perfect mix of getting down to creative business but also chatting about technique. ❤️

I did not prepare for the FF6 celebration month and I know I don't have the power to contribute daily but I will smile and point at all of the lovely art that appears. I'll try and draw at least one thing!

One part of Fields of Mistria that makes me laugh is every week the NPCs hype up Louis' legendary fashion and then I look and it's just an oversized tee and some hats.

I've been working on a little hand drawn animation over the last month. My biggest weakness in my personal art is that I struggle not to lose interest in things that take longer than a single afternoon, so it's been a good exercise. But also uuuugh I still have so far to go.

(early Sovereign Tower spoilers) Demon: How do you feel about the power to rewind time and fix your mistakes? Me: Hmmm seems evil but sure. *things get much worse* Demon: Oh nooooooo probably a fluke, anyway third time's a charm, right? :) Me: ...Yeah probably.

Sovereign Tower act 3 spoilers To appease Victoria (extremely powerful (and hot) demon lady) I faked assassinating a dude she asked me to take out. The mission was a critical success so I thought I was golden. Until the guy literally showed up in my audience chamber. 🫠

I had a dream last night about the afterlife in which where you go isn't tied to morality but based on how you chose to spend your time. Thus, whether it's a good afterlife or not depends on how much you regret your earthly priorities. Then they took me into Gamer Heaven. 🫠

Hey guys, if you're gonna share that one meme I made like a million years ago on Tumblr, share the original, not the horrible auto-smoothed traced version. Don't smooth out my angry, "it's 11 at night and I have FEELINGS ABOUT ART" hand wobbles, they're part of the piece!

(disclaimer I don't actually care about the Discourse. I think it looks interesting and the 3D artist in me wants to gaze upon all of the textures)

I just realized now I can post my entire Lace comic in one post now. Love Silksong. Can't wait until the DLC comes out and I realize all of my muscle memory is gone.
