remember the last election cycle, no ad-blocker could prevent the onslaught of the biggest and the local candidates from entering your feed, it's kinda feelin' like a mini tilt-a-whirl of that, someone's putting up the money for this shit, and thats why i'm here to say, this post was paid for by Me

was gonna complain about the second summer here, but i realized Some of you are sun-freaks. strategizing a mid-day grocery run because it's summer after noon, it Sucks

i am in favor of october drawing challenges but i recommend you ask yourself what dracula would do if challenged to draw per prompt, the answer is: It'd take a Terrible Nap and then be an Elegant Menace, privately

now that we've found the ark but apparently aliens are underwater, lets cancel all the space stuff and actually explore the sea completely, is that too much to ask, or are you scared of how funky the guys are down there

some even choose to eat lunch at stranger hours and yes, this does make them more interesting people

Jon Bois@jonbois.bsky.social

one thing that's interesting about me is that i usually don't eat lunch at exactly 12 p.m. on the dot. today i'm starting to eat lunch at 12:26 p.m., and it's actually not all that unusual for me to eat as late as 1 or 1:30. i'd say this is my most interesting personal quality by miles

i do not know what i'll do if the tv channels merge, i may keep replying to pictures of architecture on here and making sure my cat has enough water because whomst else will keep my feet warm

little over a week until pumpkin mode, which means my mom's birthday, and then a series of memes, we got midterms happening but every politician is Haunted by the holidays, they gotta step back from the Realm of Invention and go Gregorian lest they Lose it All to santa

Believe it or not, I'm that guy and I'm into what you just did, no problemo, fully endorse that action

I am the living uraeus which is preeminent in the Bark of Flesh on the vertex of its lord; I have come today into the horizon of the sky, and there are given to me the seats of those who are in the Presence, I control the gifts to the gods among those who account for the land of the Great One (CTF3)

Sure, did i ask some luminaries if they'd seen a movie where someone had Very Long eyelashes. Yep, did it turn out I May have dreamt it, and my memory was based on the character Boy from Little Monsters (1989), and Yah am I still willing to field Anyone's suggestions on a villain with long eyelashes

Pee Wee voice: "...I love that story"

Nooo we can't break the cycle now but we promise we'll break it later, no it was a previous generation of our party that made the same promise before so it's not fair to blame us for doing exactly the same thing, c'monnnn just one more go of the cycle, just one we promise, get under the wheeel

Besides this having none of the actual fraggle theme song, it's funny knowing it probably took a month to build/arrange everything, and most of a day to nail a 5 second camera move into a hole where those freaks live

[Vintage VHS] Fraggle Rock With The Muppets: 1, Meet The Fraggles! : 198s

Though fans would decry it, I would like if Nimtendo unveiled a horrible erzatz Xelda franchise with no dungeons, no crafting, colors inverted, and their argument was just "This Time...it's Ganon's Rules" and it is impossible to speedrun or win, it's just about Korok seeds, Would Purchase

Henry Darger devoted a journal to complaining about how the weatherman was wrong. He also scavenged string from garbage cans, rolled it up and threw it at a picture of the Virgin Mary when the weather was wrongly predicted. Say what you will about the Realms of the Unreal but

Our Foremost Duck Cartoonist has apparently, always, also been a compulsive mark-maker and phrase-monger extrée ordinaire. Fun reading this knowing that it's just the beginning of something that is still alive and cooking, despite itself (!?)

Newly added to the archive, it's a super early and super rare work from the great Dane Martin, Salt Mines No. 1 from 2008! nycartoonlibrary.org/danesalt1.html

Self-published stuff can easily slip thru the cracks, drop into oblivion, even when it was super impactful and deserves archiving/sharing!!! I'm proud to have some stuff in this collection, that will surely keep growing, Already lots of cool books uploaded, near impossible to find elsewhere

this week jacob said "I get both food AND garnishes stuck to my face and clothing FREQUENTLY" and I couldn't agree more with a situation, not sure it's a plight, might be a blessing like this cactus post

if anyone in my town follows me, Fuck another scorcher, Arrakis, Dune, Desert Planet, the construction on my street prevents naps, Ice Cream, Yogurt, hydrate your pets and yourself, for every breath of toxins, perhaps a whiff of dank, it's Halloween in august and the skeletons are airborne

Benefit of the Doubt is a fun phrase cuz it implies constant, unremitting and intractable doubt about everything, but you're giving someone the best part of it, it's the Coupon of Phrases

re-read the robert walser biography and i forgot that seelig kinda duped him into being his guardian at the end, and the microscripts really were a kafka impulse where he'd rather them not exist, he's like the crazed penguin in that herzog movie, if that penguin also wrote several great books

whats sad about video game fans is they're also industrial design fanatics. streaming is performative, these are people who should get into lamps and silverware. I've been researching the history of Rugs myself, it's not about employment
