For Bluesky audiences. Although the only thing I need to change is where I used to always say "we" when critiquing the church. There is something out there calling itself "Christian" & "Church" I am not sure what it is. I am not that. At all. I know them, though. natureofthebeat.com/who-do-i-thi...

Wrapping up my viewing of the “other” Marvel universe—DD, JJ, Luke cage, Iron Fist, Venom, and now Punisher. It is definitely a different world from the MCU. It should have stayed that way, including with Spider-Man. Other than Iron Fist, it is much better.

I’m getting a little tired of the flippant comments thrown at Angine de Poitrine as “same as any prof/math rock band”. It’s not in its final results. Maybe John McLaughlin in his use quarter steps, but that’s as far as it goes. They were/are all avant- guards. But are all different.

Eve was the most dangerously lovable and viciously cuddly cat I've ever know. And she passed today and I was still the only one who she would allow to hold her like a baby. She'll get to meet her brothers from the past 35 years. F7 Savannah.

I am getting really disappointed with fruit at the grocery store these days. They look amazing. Always not ready to be consumed. I want fruit. The crap shoot for ready to be consumed is getting harder to deal with.

Klimt's Schubert at the Piano I (1896) is a masterclass in building atmosphere. He uses a candlelit golden-brown palette to make the scene feel less like a historical document and more like a warm recollection of Austrian heritage.

It's been ages since I've even thought of Foucault. “What Is an Author?” in 1969. But he seemed to sense it coming. “We can easily imagine a culture where discourse would circulate without any need for an author,” he wrote. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/10/b...

Marvel may make better movies. But DC dominated TV. Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, even Gotham trounced Agents of Shield. DC just can’t figure out how to capitalize on that.
