people in the discord were talking about Daize's difficulty level in Petal 2, which comes from his style of waiting until he's behind then striking back which can take people by surprise when he suddenly steps on the gas, which led me to creating an image

it’s been almost 2 weeks and i keep thinking about our awesome table. one of the most exhausting yet rewarding things i’ve ever done. for a few days after i kept dreaming about giving the combo elevator pitch/tutorial as my brain was like “guess this is my life now”

We're all set up at Booth 750 at Portland Retro Game Expo! Come check it out!!

the Mythbusters youtube channel has been uploading the final season from 2016 one by one (which i'd never actually seen any of) and today they got to the final episode, plus it's just before Grant's birthday so i get to be double emotional about it. i wish the build team had been there for it though

on a show where everyone's personality was played up both on-set and in editing to make them feel a bit "TV", Grant still managed to come off feeling so real to me, like the same type of passionate nerd as many dear friends. i think that's part of why his passing still hits me so hard years later

Grant Imahara had such joie de vivre. whenever he was out there building wacky shit, even in his post-TV days where he'd occasionally show up on youtube and stuff, you really got the impression that it felt like he was living his own dream. he should have had so much more time, man

the smell filled basically the entire hall, or at least the entire area that opened up on Saturday and came enough into the 3-day booth zone that i could smell it the whole time. i thought it was awesome but i guess if you hate tacos it might have pissed you off

i need to make it back down to portland to see my friends while not completely draining every ounce of energy from my body and soul by tabling a con so i can have a chance to deploy my funny karaoke tricks like “knowing all the words to Loser by Beck and also 99 Luftballons (the german version)”

i would love to add One Week to my repertoire so we can have a good laugh about the boom anime babes that make me think the wrong thing but i would need to really study and practice it. every time it’s on the radio in the car and i try it i just can’t get my tongue to keep up

someone was telling me about their streetpasses at PRGE and i was like fuuuuuck i should have brought my 3DS. if they’re never going to make another streetpass thing again then we just have to start the old one back up

we had such an amazing time at PRGE teaching a bunch of new people about Petal Crash. it was so awesome to teach someone the basic rules and then they make their first cool move and they’re like “oh i’ve gotta play this”. seeing multiple elementary school kids really get into it too was so awesome

we also had a few people who kept coming back to the booth over the weekend for one more game and you really and truly love to see it. i’m so exhausted from 3 long days plus all the other work and worry that went into making the table happen but i’m so happy to have met so many lovely people

We're super proud of Petal Crash 2 and getting to see it click with so many people in person was so rewarding! I'm glad there's so many puzzle fans out there ready for something new!

Thank you so, so much to everyone who visited us at PRGE this year!! We got such a great reception for Petal Crash 2! It was especially heartwarming to see kids play it with their parents... The next arcade puzzle generation.....

a long weekend of tabling has melted my brain and i thought you were just asking if i knew about TCRF and runs it for unrelated reasons lmao also the test menu isn’t completely unused content - it’s just a bit of a secret! (though you did see the full-power developer form)

got to see the test menu in petal crash 2 and lmao it's good. the rest of the game looks real slick, too

ohh my poor neglected playdate... i got an email like "hey our records show yours is on an old version that's about to run into certificate expiration issues that make it more annoying to update, so if you want to update it now it'll be easier" so i picked it up and was like "i forgot you ruled"

i love this funny little thing... and now there are uh, Several years worth of new games for me to check out for it lol. i don't want to think about how long it's been since i put down the game i was working on for it when i got the chance to make Petal Crash 2...

that being said: i would love it if the auto-hide could be set to even more aggressive and entirely or almost-entirely hide the bar, while using a number badge on top of the "Collapse Sidebar" button (which i moved to be all the way on the left above my tab sidebar)

i was so enamored with having called this a quote for a roxas forum siggy that i had to make it. imaginary lore: roxasgrrl89 wanted her name to be read like "Roxas's Girl" but couldn't write roxassgrrl because it had "ass" in it which wasn't allowed
