Are you voting early or on Nov 3? I can't decide. Voting early is safe. It may avoid potential problems from maga or trump. But I have a desire to vote on Nov 3 to show I wont be intimidated. What are you doing?

6 Years ago this past week, George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Derek Chauvin is in prison. The Minnesota Republican convention opened their day with a moment of silence…. For Derek Chauvin. Racist fucking assholes. Every one of them.

People seem a little extra crazy, paranoid, precipitant, stabby today. Is it because we're coming off a holiday weekend? Oh wait, it's because we have a vengeful, narcissistic, fascist dictator leading our country.

Was trump's address enough to convince maga that everything is fine? It didn't convince me. He told us he's great 'like never before'. We still don't know when it will end or what the strategic objective is.

Thanks to Bruce Springsteen for the support and helping our voices in Minnesota be heard. Great song from such a talented guy.

Bruce Springsteen@brucespringsteen.net

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

Today in the Minneapolis / St Paul area. A visual of ICE encounters. Just today. Just what the community has reported, I assume there are many more. This is an occupation for power and voter control. Everybody should be concerned. Everybody should be contacting there legislators. You could be next

Of course his ambiguity is intentional. He learned way back when he had little mob boss training wheels that ambiguity - allows you to threaten while giving deniability - allows you to change your mind without accountability - keeps others in chaos because they don't know what will happen

Zeeshan Aleem@zeeshanaleem.bsky.social

A major feature of Trump's communicative style is to harness ambiguity. Some of it is deliberate, some of it isn't, but I think for the most part it is. It sounds counter-intuitive because he is so thoughtless in many respects, but it requires careful reading.

Since ICE came to Minneapolis I've wandered how they pull up to a car and drag someone out, seemingly knowing ahead of time where that car will be, who is in the car and where that person is. They know where and when to show up. What software does ICE use? Is it legal? Is it an invasion of privacy?

Texas Observer@texasobserver.org

Thanks to a software program called "Tangles," police—sheriffs, Texas state cops, and even ICE—can follow the location of your smartphone without a warrant. Yet, we know little about how it has been used. Here's what our investigation revealed:

What I learned today... Precedent shows a foreign country can invade another nation to remove a corrupt, criminal, authoritarian leader who manipulates elections, makes money from his position, and uses the military for his own benefit. Just saying. Ya know, if any foreign country is listening.

All propaganda to target Samalians and Minnesota * He came with 8 people. Owner said he wouldn’t unlock the door to a group of people while ICE has a presence in the city. Owner also provided security video of that day showing many kids being brought to the daycare.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Nick Shirley thinks that daycares are unlocked and have "reception" areas 😆 😭

* Somali businesses were targeted * These businesses are now getting disgusting, threatening phone calls. * One business was broken into, records stolen, criminals have the names/addresses of all families

A paragraph from this that bears repeating: "If we don’t learn from Germany, if we don’t enshrine what happened, criminalize it’s symbols, and build laws that make it unrepeatable, then we are telling the future exactly what we’re willing to tolerate again."

Best 3 minutes you will spend on the internet today.

Enough of Kirk. There’s more media coverage of Kirk in one hour than all coverage of the assassination of MN legislators a few months ago. More coverage than the killing of children in a MN school a week ago. I’m fucking tired of the far right lies, hate, hypocrisy, division, extremism, and guns

Like. Repost. Yell it from the rooftops.

Pritzker: To the members of the press who are assembled here today and listening across the country, I am asking for your courage to tell it like it is. This is not a time to pretend here that there are two sides to this story.

I assumed Epstein was murdered, but always had a little bit of doubt. Until... The DOJ came out and said there is no client list and Epstein didn't get murdered. Yup. That convinced me. 100% that guy was murdered.

Way to go! Great job, Tina and Team. Tina isn't running for reelection. We in Minnesota will miss her, she's been fantastic. and... Tina was on Boelter's list

A top staffer to Sen. Tina Smith emailed Sen. Mike Lee’s top staffers on Monday about “how much additional pain you’ve caused on an unspeakably horrific weekend” Full emails below

The only fun thing about trump’s military parade… When he turns 80 next year, which should be a big celebration for him, it will be a lonely quiet pathetic day because he will not repeat the embarrassment of today’s utter failure

GOP had many chances to stop trump but instead crossed red lines into fascism. One, confirming cabinet picks showed they all supported him. Two, not challenging illegal EOs showed none would oppose him. Now, the last line. Allowing trump’s police state, they will no longer be able to stop him.

It’s bluster. Purpose is to own the libs by freeing a racist. I doubt Chauvin wants this. If pardoned for his federal crime, he’d be transferred back to MN where its unsafe for him. He’s already been shanked once out of state. He pled guilty to federal crime in a plea deal for out of state prison

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com

Don’t forget, Chauvin’s state crimes can’t be pardoned - and that’s the longer of the two sentences. Also don’t forget the people who support that murderer.

Everyone needs to see this... Every Republican voted to eliminate health care for American people. ...so millionaires can get tax cuts

Congressman Don Beyer@beyer.house.gov

We're in the seventh hour of the Ways and Means markup of Republicans' tax cut for the rich. Democrats led by @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social just offered an amendment to stop Republicans from stripping health coverage away from the American people. Every Republican voted against it.

After the murder of George Floyd, the DOJ investigation of Minneapolis PD identified multiple things that created processes and a culture of racism. A plan for change was created. Then trump took office. The entire plan of action and any changes in progress were stopped. Abuse is allowed to continue

If tariffs are supposed to make the entire country rich, why did he stop after only a few days? -He lied about it making us rich? -It was enough time to manipulate the market? -to help other countries, not America first? I’d love to hear maga defend this. All the answers are bad.

I learned something from this… Elon’s brother owns a drone company Remember all the mysterious UFO/Drone sightings last fall out East? Maga blamed Biden for not ‘fixing’ it. They seemed to disappear after the election. …Elon’s brother owns a drone company

Bev Gray@bevgray.bsky.social

For Tesla, Q4 2024 was slated to be, I think the financial term is “devastating.” Elon was leveraged because he used Tesla stocks to secure other loans. open.substack.com/pub/travelgu...
