When blue collar jobs are displaced, or low wages fail to keep up, society shrugs its shoulders. As AI threatens white collar jobs suddenly we talk, not just of Universal Income but Universal High Income. God forbid the upper middle class should have to pull up its bootstraps.

Helping regular people is not Communism.

Everyone keeps saying Iran can't have a nuclear weapon. But Russia, China and North Korea have them. Do we really think Iran would use it? It seems to me the worst practices of Iran are terrorism sponsorship and internal human rights abuses. But I only hear about that at the margins.
