Yeah man I totally wanted to see Tracy Morgan opining about the Knicks instead of LeBron James’ first introduction at home as a Sixer. World wide leader

Congratulations to Jalen Hurts, now the second-best Philadelphia team captain and franchise player to suffer a lung injury and have his team go "yeah you can probably get on a plane it'll be fine"

The details of this whole Jalen Hurts blood clot thing are still hazy but right now it looks like multiple people need to be fired and some should have their medical licenses called into question

This is utterly terrifying and I hope nothing but the best for Jalen Hurts This is a different timeline than the Eagles originally stated and they have gone out of there way to make their handling of this look misguided at best and dangerous at worst

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨🚨 Jalen Hurts is OUT for the season. This statement details why there was such a dramatic change in the diagnosis for Jalen Hurts. When doctors found multiple blood clots in his lungs, it went from being able to manage it to requiring immediate treatment.

Ok someone needs to lose their job over this

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played the game without having slept. Crazy.

The sport of baseball itself rebelling against the owners’ salary cap agenda by ensuring that the World Series matchup will not include any team with a payroll higher than 17th is just beautiful

Important here to distinguish between a deep-vein thrombosis (dangerous, can become a pulmonary embolus) and a superficial thrombosis. Sounds like he was kicked by a cleat and developed a superficial clot. Should not really be a long term risk but they’re right to not let him play.

The Eagles announce Jalen Hurts is OUT Sunday against Carolina with a blood clot. And, Whoa. Whatever could go wrong, is going on in Philadelphia right now, but the biggest picture read and concern from this has to be for Jalen Hurts’ long-term health.

I’m the furthest thing from a medical expect but letting a guy fly to London to play a football game and then fly back all with a blood clot seems ill advised

The 2026 Brewers right now in the NLCS are running the highest three true outcome rate (47%) of any LCS since the series began in 1969. If you think I find this delightfully entertaining, I do.

“Phillies requested permission to interview Chase Utley for their manager position” is such a WIP caller idea I cannot believe it actually happened

I cannot tell if I’m more terrified of Don Mattingly selecting a new hitting coach or the Phillies selecting a new hitting coach

Multiple things can be true at once. I don’t think Kevin Long is the problem. I think moving on is probably the right choice. I don’t trust anything in the front office’s hitting philosophy (player acquisition and MiLB dev) that makes me optimistic about who they hire next.

They would wait until five minutes AFTER I finish the links for tomorrow morning

Jorge Alfaro is gonna put it all together soon you’ll see!

Calling this "the most lifeless roster I've ever seen" tells me you (wisely!) either checked out from 2012 to 2021 or repressed those memories, so believe me when I say you don't want to go back that direction on purpose. That way leads panic-trading for Brandon Workman

The length of Mattingly’s contract doesn’t matter. One of the two seasons will probably be a lockout one. The problem is that his name is on it

When you can have the guy who’s notorious for killing pitchers be in charge of the young careers for promising arms like Andrew Painter and Gage Wood you just HAVE to do it

Not only is the Phillies organization completely out of ideas, they refuse to even solicit any new ones
