Many years ago I had a philosophy of science professor that expressed a hope that we wouldn’t be completely swayed by subjectivism. I thought about this a lot while watching “You Can See Everything”.

My grandfather wrote me the most sentimental email this morning. I was getting very emotional while reading. …Then Gmail automatically drafted a complete response on my behalf.

For when your pipes are clogged or not clogged, who is to say? (Yes, I know that’s not *exactly* the point of Schrödinger’s cat, but I am an expert in neither quantum mechanics nor plumbing)

I love it when somebody makes constructive comments on my writing. Because then I get to: 1. Roll my eyes at their suggestions. 2. Decry every decision both they and I have ever made. 3. Admit their suggestions are good and make the writing better. 4. Ask them to make comments on the next draft.

I don't find AI to be an effective writing partner because only a human can highlight a whole passage and then comment with just "?" in a way that makes me spiral into self doubt.

Wading into the Odyssey discourse with screenshots from Nostos: Il Ritorno (1989), an Italian avant-garde adaptation where all the dialogue is in an untranslated made up language. If nothing else, it is absolutely striking to look at. It's on Youtube.

Welcome to my 2 second research workshop. Ready? "Just because you have access to information for business reasons does not mean you can use it for research reasons." Thank you for your attention.

I often doodle little comics to put into my kid’s lunchbox. They are a fantastic artist, so I get some art criticism on the way home from school as a treat. Here are a few from this week, with a bonus picture of the real life Meatball (orange) and Greta (grey).
