CBS is now owned by the Ellison’s - Trump’s buddies and tech bro’s. The only surprise is how this story was able to get started in the first place.

CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss pulled a 60 Minutes segment on allegations of abuses at an El Salvador detention center where the Trump administration sent hundreds of Venezuelan migrants. n.pr/4pagOTD

CBS has been dead - there is no surprise here.

Greg Todd@1gregtodd.bsky.social

“60 Minutes” correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi says she requested comment from DHS, State and the WH. They declined, then complained and Bari Weiss spiked the story. Alfonsi says it gave the Trump administration a “kill switch”.

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks" is a famous quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet, spoken by Queen Gertrude, meaning someone's denial or excessive declaration of something (like innocence or love) suggests they secretly believe or are guilty of the opposite, a classic sign of hidden truth.

"Why is everyone SO OBSESSED with the Epstein Files," whined the guy who is in the Epstein Files. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Wow! Now there is a big surprise!

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

In case anyone actually believed this🤔👇🏽 “Trump’s own WH website values major investment announcements at $8.8 trillion — half the ‘$17 trillion’ Trump used out loud… CNN review shows even 8.8 is a big exaggeration…” www.cnn.com/2025/10/11/p...

Keep it up - I love the very relevant and fact based content. Very grateful that Meidas isn’t intimidated and are not sell outs. Rock on!

Meiselas: And now, the little engine that could—the one people said could never happen—the MeidasTouch Network has hit 5 million subscribers, 33 million views every 48 hours, more views than Fox News and any cable news network… we are so grateful to share this moment with you all.

The rare mineral deal is only for 6 months and then renewable - we didn’t have that condition before. The deal is softer than what we had before - so what the frigg?

Kai Ryssdal@kairyssdal.bsky.social

There is no deal Thank you for your attention to this matter

It depends if one follows republican Jesus.

Adam Kinzinger@adamkinzinger.substack.com

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

Marco is just another yes man for Trump that will enable Trump to eventually self-destruct.

Just Jack@just-jack-1.bsky.social

To those who said lil Marco was experienced in statecraft and would temper Trump's worst impulses...🖕🏼

1/This may truly blowup #KashPatel nomination On left: Patel Testimony: "I'm not aware" of purge inside DOJ/FBI and "don't know what's going on." On right: Whistleblowers tell Senate that Patel was directing the purge! Contemporaneous note: “KP wants movement at FBI, reciprocal actions for DOJ”

This is what people voted for - welcome to dumb America.

Chris Murphy on the latest House Republican funding plan: "This may not pass the House because all it takes is one tweet from a billionaire 15 minutes from now and House Republicans will go running for the hills. Musk and Ramaswamy are in charge of our govt right now it seems"

It is encouraging that some are still strong, smart and willing to speak out for what is right. This in the face of a corporate tide of submission to Trump and Co.

Jessica: You say that people wanted this -- the richest man in the world wanted this. What's your problem with a bipartisan cancer research program?

Not sure why people are surprised- Trump is a paper tiger.

So much for that manufacturing capex boom. An ISM forecast published this week "showed the expected increase in manufacturing capital expenditures will be less in 2025 than it was in 2024 .." @wsj.com www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

This is what is happening -

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

Unsettling from @anneapplebaum.bsky.social:Trump isn't just trying to bully the media into submission. He's also conditioning the public to see the use of state power to cow independent truth telling as normal, and persuading MAGA to see it as good. Our exchange: newrepublic.com/article/1894...

She is so smart - it is refreshing there are a few left that are smart, passionate and care about the truth.

I guess Hegseth was sober that day

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Hegseth: Typical Trump. All bluster, very low substance… he’s an armchair tough guy. This is a guy who said that John McCain is not a war hero yet he sought his own five military deferments

You are up to date.
