Nine days left and the family is all in. Jeff and my dad out-knocked me today, but I did meet one very quiet supporter🦬 Thank you to every volunteer and every neighbor who opened the door. Let's finish strong! 💪

The only thing spookier than these decorations? Not having a voting plan. 🤡 Drop off your ballot by 8 PM Nov 3, vote early at the Douglas County Election Commission, or vote at your polling place on Election Day. Bring your photo ID! 👻

Another great weekend on the doors with Jeff. District 20 wants strong public schools, access to healthcare, and a senator who stands up for them instead of rubber stamping the executive branch. Proud to have done that for four years and ready to keep at it. Let's do this!

Still holding onto your mail-in ballot? Fill it out and get it back today. Mailing it? Send it this week, or drop it at your county drop box. Voting in person? Make your plan now and get to the polls on or before Tuesday, November 3rd. There’s a lot on the ballot this year, and every race matters 💥

Another great day knocking doors in LD20!! 😎 I’m so humbled by the support from Democrats, Republicans, and Nonpartisans alike. We’ve built a strong coalition that prioritizes people over politics, and I can’t wait to keep showing up for all of us in Lincoln.

Every single day, a constituent tells me a story about childcare. Whether it’s the cost, the quality, or the availability, every parent has a story. Childcare is an area we can't let up on, and I'm committed to keeping it front and center in my second term.

It’s that time in Nebraska where you’re dripping sweat one day and wearing a sweatshirt the next 🤷‍♂️ Hot or cool, knocking doors gives me so much fuel and motivation - thank you LD20 for being the best district in the state!

The strongest democracies have the strongest labor protections. That’s not a coincidence. The rights of working people and the health of a free society rise and fall together. This Labor Day, I’m grateful to everyone who fought to build workers’ rights in this country!🇺🇸💪

Another 5 ⭐️ day knocking doors in LD20! I always say it, but I’m the luckiest person alive to represent a district that is so engaged, interested, and civically minded. The conversations we have on doors give me hope for the future 🙌

As Vice Chair of Health and Human Services, I take DHHS oversight seriously. Today I joined Nebraska families & disability advocates at the Capitol on interRAI. DHHS committed to an evaluation, a real step, but more is needed. Our committee is watching.

Equality, freedom, a real shot at a good life for everyone. That’s what America promised 250 years ago. One of the boldest ideas a country has ever had. Every generation carries that promise forward. Not finished. Worth building on. Happy 250th birthday, America. 🇺🇸

Spent this morning with the Unicameral Youth Legislature. We talked about having hard conversations, pushing through disagreement, and what it means to keep going after you lose. Honestly? I think a few of them might end up in these seats someday. 👀

LD20: It’s Game Time! 📢 The polls are officially OPEN until 8:00 PM. Whether you’re heading to the ballot box or a drop site, make sure you get there before the doors close. Find your spot & voter info: www.votedouglascounty-ne.gov

There was no better way to kick off my morning than guest lecturing at @mccneb. We discussed the inner workings of the legislature and, more importantly, the priorities that matter most to them as young Nebraskans. Omaha’s future is incredibly bright with these leaders at the helm!

Proud to be endorsed by @ppadvocatesne! My record is clear: I trust Nebraskans to make the best decisions for their lives & their futures. Whether I’m in the chamber or in the community, I’ll always fight to ensure that medical decisions stay between a patient & their doctor.

Happy Arbor Day! Did you know Arbor Day started right here in Nebraska? We’re proud of our history and our environment. Now, you can support that legacy with an Arbor Day license plate. It’s a small way to show big pride in our home state’s heritage. 🌳

Honored to earn the endorsement of @NEAFLCIO 🌽💪 Nebraskans work hard, and they deserve a Senator who works just as hard for them. From defending the minimum wage to supporting collective bargaining, I’ve always believed that when workers win, Nebraska wins.

Today the Legislature swept funds meant for veterans. They’ll say it was “unused” money. What they won’t say: agencies were told for years to let those funds sit - so they could be swept later. Veterans still need the help. The Legislature chose not to show up.

Balancing a budget by pushing Nebraskans off their health care isn’t responsible governance. But that’s exactly what these proposed cuts rely on: Nebraskans falling through the cracks and losing coverage so the state can claim “savings.”

It still surprises me when colleagues talk about being a “team player” - even when it doesn’t actually help the people they represent. Our job in the Nebraska Legislature is to stand up for our constituents, not industry. I’ll keep showing up and fighting for everyday Nebraskans.

In the #NEleg we talk about stopping the affordability brain drain - so why was the first bill passed one that cuts wages for young Nebraskans? LB258 says young workers are worth less and voters’ voices don’t matter. Costs are rising. We must listen and ensure wages keep up.

As #NEleg debates policy impacting students with disabilities, rhetoric matters.
The Governor’s use of outdated, derogatory language reflects the same disregard behind cuts to A&D waivers and autism services. Nebraska can do better. Words matter. Policy matters. People matter.
