Hi John, thank you for your question. For voting-related bookings, we will allow Para Transpo customers to shorten the time between Demand Booking trips to one hour. As an example, a customer with a trip booked for 10:00 a.m. for voting can schedule their return trip for 11:00 am of desired. 1/2

4 days left. I can't knock on doors — my limited mobility doesn't allow it. So my outreach is the phone: calling undecided voters across Ward 10, one by one. Reaching them all before Monday takes money for calls and ads. If you can chip in, it goes straight to that outreach. Donate: johnredins.com

johnredins.comJohn Redins - Candidate for Gloucester-Southgate Ward 10John Redins is running for City Councillor in Gloucester-Southgate Ward 10. Better transit, affordable housing, safer streets, and a stronger community.

Lastnight I took part in @mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social Virtual Town Hall Meeting. I asked him about Para Transpo rural fare charges and job opportunities I lost because of it. Last year the Casino had a job fare and the mayor went on social media posting about how many new jobs were created. I told

Him every time I bring the issue up Troy Charter keeps telling me that part of the city doesn't pay a levy for transit but most of Gatineau doesn't have a levy. So I asked him does Gatineau taxpayers pay a level for @octranspo.com? I like to add i wrote a letter to the editor about it. The casino

The mayoral frontrunners all talk flooding: Sutcliffe $500M + private insurers. Leiper a 1% levy + grants. Saravanamuttoo fix what we have, retrofit homes. My Ward 10 plan adds what none of them will: permanent flood prevention, and a municipal flood insurance backstop for families grants leave out

Lime is offering free e-scooter rides to the polls on Monday. I'm glad someone's thinking about transportation to the ballot box. But I can't ride an e-scooter — and neither can thousands of disabled Ottawa voters. When "free rides to vote" come on two wheels you have to stand on, the people

Hopefully it includes removal of @octranspo.com rural fares so people with mobility issues can apply for these jobs your promising

My Economic Plan is about more than just downtown Ottawa. It's a plan for all of Ottawa, including specific strategies to create jobs in our suburban communities and in rural Ottawa.

Have your say on the future of Ledbury Park. Join the public consultation tomorrow, October 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre (1265 Walkley Rd). Explore plans for new sports fields, courts, playground, pathways, green spaces and more. https://bit.ly/4B3RJAK

Sutcliffe now promises same-day Para Transpo booking — something I've demanded for years as a daily user since 2010. About time. But with no plan, no budget, and no timeline, it's just words. The current system only books next-day trips. Riders deserve to know how. I'll hold him to it.

Extreme weather is increasing pressure on our communities and infrastructure. I will invest $500 million over the next four years to make Ottawa more resilient to climate change, including upgraded storm sewers, ditch enhancements, energy infrastructure upgrades and improved community cooling.

McCarthy Road traffic stop leads to recovery of loaded handgun On Wednesday September 30, 11:20pm, the OPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of McCarthy/Paul Anka. Four occupants in the vehicle were arrested and a loaded handgun was retrieved from the jacket of a youth.

This morning I took advantage of @vote.ottawa.ca at Greenboro Community Centre. The voting is in a room that you must go by the incumbents satellite office with her inside ans door open. When I been there in the past it is closed. Election Ottawa say it is legal but I cannot sit there with my sign

When a local candidate faces divisive harassment, it requires a unified response. 🤝 I reached out to our incumbent councillor to propose we stand together as candidates against this behavior. While she initially said she would look into it, she never got back to me. Leadership requires open

communication and timely action, especially when our civic safety is at stake. Silence from city hall is disappointing. Our community deserves a representative who is accessible, proactive, and ready to stand up for a fair, respectful democratic process for everyone. #ottvote #ottnews #Ward10
