My new game, PowerTrip on Sega Genesis/MegaDrive is LIVE on Kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/joh...

Okay, now THIS is commitment. Kudos to Cassandra for showing that a convention appearance isn’t about what attendees can give to you - it’s about what YOU can provide for them.

I'll be launching the Kickstarter for my new Genesis/Mega Drive game, PowerTrip, very soon! Follow the page for updates www.kickstarter.com/projects/joh... (art and animation by @paraptorkeet.bsky.social )

My next Genesis / Mega Drive game will go live on Kickstarter soon enough. After so much playtesting, QA and level tweaking it's finally finished. www.kickstarter.com/projects/joh...

Been playtesting and QA'ing my own game on Twitch the last few days. Is THIS the final build? We'll see as I play through the entire game to make sure I can beat it. www.twitch.tv/johnblueriggs

Huge thanks to @johnriggs.bsky.social for including Roberta Vaughan's Retro Adventures' Sierra Legends museum at Portland @retrogamingexpo.bsky.social in his recap video this year! www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEQb...

Me telling this lady she sucks at Breakers for Neo Geo in a movie we're filming about wrestling that happens to take place in an arcade. My two oldest are also extras that you'll see when the movie is released. Watch for MARKS hopefully next year.

Should've done that yesterday but just posted a little trailer for our Kickstarter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJBS... #nes #jrpg #kickstarter #retrogames #indiegames #thebookofrynn

Geez

Pitfighter was going to be an NES game?! Thanks @borman.bsky.social for showing me this over at the Strong Museum of Plaly

Moderated a panel of these legends at @retrogamecon.bsky.social over the weekend. Great group that had is all cracking up.

Had a great time at the Strong Museum of Play getting a tour of the basement archives. Here's just some of what I saw in this video. youtu.be/9XpGTHTU8aA Thanks @borman.bsky.social ! I'll post the museum, itself, in a future video very soon.

🥷🌱Ninja Garden, a brand-new NES game! Really enjoyed the mix of gardening, action and strategy. It’s surprisingly addictive! Really looking forward to seeing the full game from @pushstartgames.bsky.social, @johnriggs.bsky.social & @sebotron.bsky.social ! #NES #Homebrew #NESdev #IndieNES #gamedev

Help support Ninja Garden for NES from @sebotron.bsky.social and myself. It got a great reception when we debuted it at TooManyGames. Launching soon! www.kickstarter.com/projects/joh...

Coming soon! www.kickstarter.com/projects/joh...

Working on a new NES game based on Mothman. Here's a quick peek.

What?! No PWI500 for ring announcers? Oh well, maybe next time. (I'm 6'5 and standing in the middle) photo: Revamp Photography

A (younger)Nintendo employee proudly stated that Mario didn't officially get his name until the Mario Bros. game when I've always known Mario in Donkey Kong.. and I remember a time before Donkey Kong Jr. He's always been Mario.

Big shout out to @johnriggs.bsky.social for showcasing Chomp Champ on his youtube channel!

I'm SO looking forward to this game. We don't seem to get too many NES homebrews from Japanese teams.

teeth brushing game for your NES. Kinda gross but super fun. youtu.be/hnwp-j_0gOw

I love that TooManyGames does these indie game showcase awards. I'm the first presenter!

I attended a video game convention in London. It was... different.

@johnriggs.bsky.social is back at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo! Meet him at the show! Tickets at tinyurl.com/3a5hdpw4 #prge #prge2026

National Radio Day. Here's the 107.3 KFFM staff from 24 years ago. Proof I used to be cool.

I've had SO MANY PEOPLE (honestly, 1, maybe 2) ask for gameplay of my new indie homebrew games from Brazil so here's every game I grabbed from Brazilian publishers. Master System, Mega Drive, Famicom. Watch youtu.be/oRePTZlt8Kw

Maybe I need to wear more sequin suits when I'm in the ring and at conventions.

As if it was tailor-made for me, they're filming a wrestling movie in Portland at a local arcade. I'm playing the role of the ring announcer.

One of the oldest game stores in Brazil is SIL GAMES. Owned and operated by a very loving couple. Adam, Saru, Myself, and others devour their Sega Master System selection for TecToy Master System exclusives. Check it! youtu.be/wbbGzJlBkAc

Brazil is doing great with new indie games on classic consoles. Here are my Master System, Mega Drive, DC, and one NES (famicom) gets from RetroCon developed in Brazil.

My favorite convention happens to be in Brazil www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEFX...

Best time at my favorite convention - RetroCon Brazil youtu.be/yZIuf46u1qk

Fun driving by the dealerships in Brazil and seeing 'Blindado' advertising their cars have bulletproof windows.

My favorite cosplay at RetroCon Brazil

It was awesome finally getting to meet @johnriggs.bsky.social in person at SEGE! We ended up talking about all kinds of things, including one of my favorite anime, Case Closed! I wasn’t expecting to find another fan, so that made the conversation even better. Thanks for hanging out!

Someone recently asked me what I do to these banners at conventions. I usually leave'em but sometimes people steal them, I guess (and I'm all for it)

Why it's important to clean your games before popping them into your consoles, even if you just bought them at a convention. Trust nothing.
