And I think the sad thing is that kind of character worked back when not every main character had peace in their eyes. Arator trying to redeem a scarlet when they're allowed to just go chill at the table (sunwell) doesn't hit as hard. Anduin only worked cuz other characters told him off for it.

Every other second Anduins like "That guy you hate? What if you put ur knife down and heard them out? Huh what's the worse that could happen??" Which worked sometimes and blew up in his face other times. Not that we should call him Redeemer God No but this is a story played out better before.

ok last thing ill say on it but werent we at the start of Midnight talking about how Arator was speedrunning Anduin's backstory? feels like they gave Arator a rundown of Anduin's childhood to set him up for the plotlines Anduin was set up for...instead of allowing Arator to be his own person.

No but actually i think the most vile thing about their treatment of Anduin's character is that they said full chest 'We understand how important Arthas is and we won't misuse him in Shadowlands! Promise!' knowing full well they planned to use Anduin as their loophole.

We promise not to mess up Arthas by using him for nostalgia bait!!! But we will run over the character we've been developing for 16 years, just so we can still have Arthas nostalgia bait at all.
