When many otherwise intelligent people here criticism of the Muslim Brotherhood, they jump to the conclusion that the person criticizing the group or one of their members is "Islamophobic." They do so because they don't know that MB is a smarter better organized and better funded version of ISIS,

So, when a person such as Abdul El Sayed's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are mentioned they think that he is being criticized for being a Muslim and associating with some sort of charitable, mainstream group of people who happen to be Muslim. I have not idea what to do about that.

or Hamas, or any of the other Islamist groups. They do not know that the Muslim Brother hood has about the same relationship to the religion of Islam as Christian Nationalists, the Aryan Nations, the KKK have to Christianity.

I can't think of anything less progressive than the "pro Palestine" movement. It insists that the Arab Palestinians be oppressed forever by Hamas, Fattah, Islamic jihad etc, insists on the death or dislocation of 1/2 the world's Jews, insists on denying basic human rights to Arabs, Jews, etc.
