Something I do love about You Can See Everything is how Fielder/Oppenheim have the kind of authorial synergy that comes from uniquely great writers and directors collaborating, like Fincher/Sorkin on Social Network or Spielberg/Kushner on Munich or Chuck Jones/Dr. Seuss on the Grinch TV special.

That’s an incredible -12% drop from Saturday to Sunday, a potentially promising sign that word-of-mouth may already be helping it out.

Fathom Entertainment's release of LAIKA's Wildwood debuted with $12.27M domestically this weekend (from 2,942 locations). Daily Grosses FRI - $4.352M SAT - $4.214M SUN - $3.707M #Wildwood #BoxOffice

Fascinated by how this and Buddy have had similar journeys: premiered at Sundance, didn't generate enough buzz to get picked up until well after the fest (Wicker in February, Buddy in April), but managed to ride a viral marketing campaign to a remarkable $5-6 million opening weekend.

Black Bear's Wicker debuted with an estimated $5.75M domestically this weekend (from 1,471 locations). #Wicker #BoxOffice

Walked into my Wildwood screening this evening right as they were playing a Werwulf interview panel where Lily-Rose Depp said she loved Abbott and Costello as a kid

Truly remarkable that this many people are making time on a WEEKDAY to watch a 3 hour documentary (or a 3.5-4+ hour commitment w/previews and travel)

A24's You Can See Everything grossed $2.60M on Wednesday (from 855 locations), which was a 1% decrease from Tuesday. Total domestic gross stands at $23.41M. #YouCanSeeEverything #BoxOffice

A three hour R-rated documentary was the #1 movie in America yesterday, and will be for the remainder of the week...and maybe even this weekend?

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

Daily #BoxOffice Top 8 for Monday, October 19, 2026 1. #YouCanSeeEverything - $2.58M 2. #StreetFighter - $1.89M 3. #Whalefall - $715K 4. #OtherMommy - $706K 5. #SenseAndSensibility - $684K 6. #Verity - $565K 7. #ResidentEvil - $531K 8. #HeartOfTheBeast - $386K

That is a SEVEN PERCENT Sunday drop, a completely unheard of drop outside of holiday weekends. The only comparison I can think of is, uh, Obsession dropping only -11% on its first Sunday.

A24's You Can See Everything debuted with $15.60M domestically this weekend (from 855 locations). Daily Grosses FRI - $5.544M SAT - $5.211M SUN - $4.846M #YouCanSeeEverything #BoxOffice

The Devils becomes only the third NC-17 release to make over $1 million in a single weekend, after Henry & June (1990) and Showgirls (1995).

Warner Bros. Clockwork's re-issue of Ken Russell's The Devils grossed an estimated $1.64M domestically this weekend (from 350 locations). #KenRussellsTheDevils #BoxOffice

You Can See Everything scores the fourth best opening weekend ever for a film in under 1,000 theaters, behind only Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Borat.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

A24's You Can See Everything debuted with an estimated $15.0M domestically this weekend from 855 locations, for a per-location average of $17,544. #YouCanSeeEverything #BoxOffice

This was actually a fun stat to dive into, because by the time $10M+ openers were a thing, movies that could open that high were automatically going into 1,000+ theaters so it's not that long a list (discounting inflation obviously)

Only two non-music/concert documentaries have ever opened above $10 million: Fahrenheit 9/11 ($23.9M) and DisneyNature's Chimpanzee ($10.7M). This is more or less locked in to become the third.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

A24's You Can See Everything grossed an estimated $5.54M domestically on Friday (from 855 locations), including previews. #YouCanSeeEverything #BoxOffice

You Can See Everything scores the 5th biggest preview number ever for an A24 release behind only Backrooms, Civil War, Primetime, and Marty Supreme. Doubly impressive considering all of those movies were in over 2,500 theaters and this in less than 900.

A24's You Can See Everything grossed an estimated $1.75M from Thursday preview shows. #YouCanSeeEverything #BoxOffice

Sometimes I'll look for a YouTube video in an incognito window in order to avoid messing up my algorithm, which also means I occasionally get a rather despairing glimpse into what the algorithm-free YouTube looks like

I was one of only five people at my Social Reckoning screening, but one of the other four people said to his wife “wow I think we’re the only people here” right as the movie started and started loudly talking about how he believes the leading lady in this won some awards.

Resident Evil has surpassed The Final Chapter's $314.1M total to become the biggest film of the franchise worldwide.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

Sony's Resident Evil has passed the $300M global mark. The film grossed an estimated $54.3M internationally this weekend, including debuts of $40.6M in China & $3.6M in Japan. Estimated international total stands at $181.7M, estimated global total stands at $320.2M. #ResidentEvil #BoxOffice

For comparison, here's what The Social Network's opening weekend looked like in 2010 dollars. Reckoning's final total may not even reach Network's unadjusted two-day total.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

Sony's The Social Reckoning debuted with an estimated $5.50M domestically this weekend (from 2,606 locations). #TheSocialReckoning #BoxOffice

Mildly funny that WB made a whole "Americans are mad at this movie but the rest of the world digs it!" ad for this only for the rest of the world to not really show up for it either. Even Lions for Lambs made to $48M internationally in 2007 dollars.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

Warner Bros.'s Digger debuted with an estimated $12.0M internationally. Estimated global total stands at $20.0M. #DiggerMovie #BoxOffice

Even beyond both of them running for a statewide race in Ohio, Ramaswamy is very Vance-esque in how utterly lacking he is in charisma and general human instincts.

The final weekend number pushes this just ahead of Resident Evil: Afterlife's final domestic total to become the biggest Resident Evil movie ever domestically.

BoxOfficeReport.com@boxofficereport.bsky.social

Sony's Resident Evil debuted with $60.15M domestically this weekend (from 3,684 locations). Daily Grosses FRI - $26.228M SAT - $20.016M SUN - $13.910M #ResidentEvil #BoxOffice

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years and yet every piece of Cliff Booth marketing hasn't left me feeling much of anything.

Exceptionally bleak that this is happening the week after CNN was banned from the White House and no one involved in this purchase even feigned concern about it.

My at-the-outset take on this is that it looks and sounds genuinely audacious in a way that I thought adaptations of big "IP" were no longer allowed to be, which is only making me more excited.

Kinda cool of Elijah Wood that after being top-billed in three of the biggest movies of the young century, he chose his first big follow-up role after those movies to be the 6th-billed massive stalker creep in a post-modern RomCom.

Kinda funny how much of the political establishment has a “stupid sexy Flanders” relationship to a random streamer most Americans don’t even know exists.
