Vote blue if you want to, but understand that doing so changes none of these things. If we want a better nation, we must actually build a better nation. We can’t just keep repeating the same patterns that got us here.

At best, progressive liberalism makes partial mitigations to capitalism on the back end of violence and exploitation. The true key to correcting injustice is to end the economic system built on injustice and replace it with one that prioritizes life and humanity.

when we talk about a "redistribution" of wealth we're accepting the inherent injustices of accumulation. instead we should be talking about "pre-distribution," which means justice by design in every stage of the system

Don’t know who needs to hear this, but: The media’s job is not to tell you what’s going on, but rather to shape the way you think about it. Framing is everything. Don’t let them tell you how to feel. Don’t let them tell you what side you’re on.

People laugh at this because obviously these people aren’t members of Hamas. But he doesn’t mean it literally. We need to understand that ANYONE anywhere that resists imperialism/colonialism is considered a terrorist by the capitalist ruling class.

The military industrial complex is literally telling everyone not to worry because they’re planning permanent war. You know we have a moral duty to remove these people from power and influence, right? Are we content to live in a world ruled by monsters? For our children to be ruled by monsters?

Nothing else so clearly illustrates the utter worthlessness of the Democrat party as the fact that they’ve been repeating throughout Trump’s second term that we no longer have a democracy BUT their only suggestion for what we should do about that is to vote.

On the list of beefs I have with modern tech, this ranks pretty low of course. But it makes me just a little sad when I type “The Cure” into my music search and a song by Olivia Rodrigo pops up ahead of the band.

One could argue that a one party socialist government in which politicians debate over who will best serve the community is more democratic than a duopoly in which the oligarchs own both parties and voting determines only which empire managers will assist the oligarchs in plundering the nation.

People will tell you they’re too smart for religion while believing the corporate media, TV ads and everything they learned in high school history class. They’ll tell you they know better than to worship a god while worshipping celebrities and politicians.

There is simply no way to reconcile imperialism/the capitalist world order with democracy and human rights. This is the great contradiction of neoliberalism.

Is it bleak out there? Sure. But there is a dignity, an honor, a beauty in resisting evil even in a fight you can’t win. Ultimately, this is a struggle fought within. Maybe we’ll succeed in the end, and maybe we’ll get it all turned around. But even if not: Go down swinging.

Every time I open my phone to find an ad for something I was just talking about out loud in a personal conversation, I feel like I want to — Well, I’m not going to tell you what it makes me want to do because THEY’RE ALWAYS LISTENING!!!!

I firmly believe there is a connection between all the gender segregation we impose upon our children and masses of adult men that never stop to consider how their actions impact women. The best thing for a boy is to be around a lot of girls and women from a young age.

It should come as no surprise when institutions that crush protest against genocide also allow rape to go unpunished. The Epstein class does not care at all about human life. Power and profit are their only god. They believe your body is theirs to exploit. Resist or be ruled by demons.

Liberals will shame you for enjoying certain music/books/movies because the artists involved were “problematic” while streaming content over media platforms owned by oligarchs responsible for genocide, fascism, the surveillance state and global environmental devastation.

We live in strange times when nobody trusts the government, the media or big corporations - in fact, they generally loathe them and think they’re a bunch of war-mongering, child-trafficking greedy demons - but nobody feels responsible for offering meaningful resistance or building something better.

We sit on our hands while more innocent blood is spilled daily. We sleepwalk to jobs that don’t pay us enough to live as they further entrench themselves behind technologies that will only get MORE difficult with time to overcome. We seal the fate of our children with our inaction.

Over and over again, apologists will tell you that capitalism is about free markets and competition. But any time they are unable to rig the market and can’t compete with a public program, they sue.

Capitalism has us on a collision course with multiple extinction-level events, from environmental collapse to rogue AI to WWIII, and several more catastrophes that may cost millions of lives such as economic collapse or a data center-driven energy and water crisis. WE HAVE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER PATH.

“Don’t worry, capitalism will solve our problems with innovation.” That’s great, but here’s the thing: 1. It’s causing most of our problems. 2. Its only goal in the modern era is to increase the control of the many by the few.

In most states you aren’t allowed to record a phone conversation without consent from both parties. But your phone, television and even your smart fridge (not to mention all the cameras everywhere) record you all the time and that’s apparently just fine.

Modern America must wake up to the historical reality that progress has only ever been won through sacrifice. Whatever we are unwilling to fight for, they will take from us. Obedience only helps the oppressor.

“At least America is a democracy, not a one party state like China.” If China had two communist parties, would that be democratic? “Of course not! If they’re both communist you still don’t have a choice!” But the US has two capitalist/imperialist parties. “But we’re a democracy.”

It is estimated that up to 600k children go missing in the US every year. Remember that when Flock cameras are being used to catch people crossing state lines to buy weed.

You can’t even walk around your house listening to a podcast without being spied on. Remember to take out your earbuds before going to the bathroom or helping your young children change clothes.

Your government used to be afraid you’d become a communist if they didn’t ensure you were paid living wages, has good social programs, etc. They stopped being afraid of that and look what happened. FYI they’re not afraid of you being a Democrat - not even a progressive.

Members of Trump’s own family would not be donating millions to Democrat campaigns if they didn’t share a common vision for this country. Unsurprisingly, that vision includes letting Israel run the show.

Question for the “We should only resist in lawful ways” crowd: When the government announces that it is in the business of defending child traffickers and pedophiles, are we still obligated to obey the rules set and enforced by those with no moral compass of which to speak?

Anyone else remember when blue voters were telling everyone that we just had to vote for Harris and the party would be pushed away from Israel and toward progressive policies later? But now it’s two years later and establishment dems continue to be pro-Israel and anti-M4A?

I’ll repeat my usual mantra here: If you think the Chinese system is bad, then you are left having to explain why a bad system is doing far more for their people and waaay less harm worldwide than our own. “Sure but they’re an authoritarian surveillance state!” So are we but without the healthcare.

They tell you we don’t need laws, we don’t need inspections, that the market will simply regulate itself. But when they got rid of the oversight, our food started poisoning everyone. Is anyone paying attention? Have we learned anything?

There is a big difference between activism as a lived practice and activism as an identity, in much the same way as there is difference between treating people with love and compassion vs telling everyone how spiritual you are or identifying yourself by your religious affiliation.

The wealthy don’t want to share power with the working class because they’re afraid that the poor would treat the rich as badly as the rich have always treated the poor. That is the source of your red scare, and the reason even progressive democrats are met with scorn.

Remember when DOGE was “cutting government waste”? That’s what happened to the regulators and inspectors responsible for (among other things) food safety. Keep that in mind when your blueberries put you in the hospital.

I would like an explanation for why millions of Americans will damn near start a revolution over vaccines but sit on their hands when their food, water and air are all poisoned and they can’t afford the resulting medical bills. Please make it make sense.

Teaching children submission to authority as virtue is a form of abuse. Eventually they grow up and capitulate to the worst people on earth. Tyranny cannot hold power without the cooperation of the masses.

Perhaps it is time to admit that allowing corporations to run the government has not been in our best interest. Also, food for thought: What happens when the FDA stops issuing recalls because the shareholders decide they’re bad for the bottom line?
