This was the second forest fire aerial embroidery I made back in August, short title is 'Apathy' - something I was seeing a lot of around me during the extreme heatwave. It's now available and you can see its full name in the description: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/work/forest-... 1/2

🌱 📸 🪵 Behold, my stick-thing! I've planted the garlic (182 bulbs!) And likely will get some more to plant because I have so much space!

📸 🌱 🪵🌲 If you want a raised bed made of the sticks you have in a large pile, you can just do that. So, I did that. Well, doing. Almost done. Will be for garlic. #raisedbed #wattlefence #wattle

🌙 Moon.

💐 📸 🌱 Some fall flowers.

Ma'am, please don't eat the walls - this isn't a chocolate house. Just like the last fifteen weren't, either.

🌻 📸 🌱 I've had exactly one sunflower grow and it's this one right now. 🌞

The Rich should be the Poor.

🙏 🌱 📸 My superpower? I can get prayer plants to grow in nothing but water (and under it!). The one submerged kinda just... grew, one day. It's continue to just grow. I've not added any nutrients into this. It's just tap water. I really should pot her up, sometime. But I am fascinated.

🐿📸🌲🌱 A squirrel I found (startled) on my walk today. Sorry, buddy. Hope you have a good day, though. Thanks for the picture. #Squirrel #tree #nature #photography

🧅 🌱 📸 I think the onions did well. So thicc. So smelly. So many more waiting to be pulled. They look so pretty!

If this winter in Atlantic Canada is similar to 1997-1998 winter, then I predict (from my memory of being 7 at the time): Very bad sleet/freezing rain. I don't recall the amount of time we were off school, but it was close to two weeks. The trees were encased in ice, all of them. So, lots of that.

💐 📸 🌱 🐝 Cosmos flowers, bee, and more flowers. They smell amazing. #bloomscrolling #photography

🌸 📸 🌱 The Phlox in the front yard is way different than the Phlox in the backyard! This stuff (pictured, front) is several inches tall while the backyard one is a Creeping Phlox, and stays low to the ground. It's intererting the similarities BTW Phlox and thyme, as you can have the same types.

🇨🇦 Jack Layton died on this day in 2011, months after leading the NDP to a historic 103 seats. His final message still resonates: “Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear.” CBC’s coverage helped preserve a remarkable chapter of Canadian political history.
