Currently Tim Caine style centrists (AND TO BE CLEAR I LIKE HIM!) are the type/style leading the party. We 100% need those folk. But we also need a 55%-60% winning strategy and they can’t deliver that without a wider appeal. Something they’re both fighting and not capable of.

I’m from Kentucky. I left Kentucky because it was no longer a place where I could seek opportunity and work. That hasn’t changed. That’s a travesty. And it’s a huge change from generations ago. And the left has done nothing to make Kentucky livable. In fairness neither has the right.

I think the left doesn’t really understand the right in any meaningful way other than that they correctly identify the racism, idiocy and mysticism of it. But it doesn’t understand what it gets correct. Things a lot of the left agree on with them.

I think that there's a parallel between super heroes and criminals. Both can get things done despite the framework of what should constrain them. I think that simple little thing and our culture's weird worship of super heroes explain a lot about Donald Trump
