Big UK banks pocketed £29.2bn in six months while our bills went up! A windfall tax on bank profits would raise £19bn for our schools & NHS. But banks and their lobbyists are trying to hard to block this. Sign the petition today. Tell John Healey to #TaxtheBanks you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ta...

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share with you that I have changed the cover of 'The Girl and the Pit'. I had previously used AI and have since regretted it, so I have gone for simple but genuine. www.amazon.co.uk/Girl-Chronic...

Early reviews hit hard: “Straight into the action.” “Constant pace.” “Gripping fights.” “Read in one sitting.”If you want dark fantasy that opens with violence and never lets up, The Girl and the Pit is free on KU. Short. Brutal. Engaging. #indieauthor #darkfantasy #swordandsorcery #booksky

Hi #booksky. For any authors out there who have done series'. Is book 2 usually significantly more difficult than book 1? Or is it just me? #indieauthor #fantasy #pulp #booksky

I just listed my book on thebooklist.co, a community-owned platform built for indie authors. You can list any book with a cover, description, and purchase links. Didn't charge me a thing. Nice. thebooklist.co/books/the-gi... #indieauthor #fantasy #swordandsorcery #booksky #pulp

Hi Bluesky. I hope everyone is well. Quick question for authors out there. Did it seem like a huge deal to you, when you first found out that you'd sold a copy of your book in a country other than your own? #indieauthor #pulp #fantasy #swordandsorcery #debut #booksky

Cultists, monsters, and rising magic erupt as the ritual nears completion, forcing his crew through collapsing ruins in a brutal race against the darkness waking below. #indieauthor#fantasy#pulp

Thanks to everyone who grabbed The Girl and the Pit. Book 2 — Child of the Splintered Moon — dives deeper into the lunar wound and brings the crew into contact with a fanatic who thinks she can heal what was never meant to be touched. #indieauthor #fantasy #swordandsorcery #Erethos

Apparently AI covers are a mortal sin in some indie circles. Shame they don’t grasp the simple truth: if you can’t afford an artist, no artist is being robbed. Gatekeepers fear shadows. Writers walk through them. I actually expected better from the indie crowd. #indieauthor #fantasy #swordandsorcery

Hey Bluesky! Hope everyone is doing ok today. This is just a reminder for you all that my debut novella, The Girl and the Pit is still free on Kindle. Today is the last day - don't miss out! #indieauthor #freebook #booksky #bookpromo www.amazon.co.uk/Girl-Chronic...

The elders swear her first breath broke the coast clean off its bones. They say her first scream found the moon’s weak place and cracked it open. And her first proclamation… well, no one agrees what she said. Only that hope died hearing it. #fantasy #swordandsorcery www.amazon.co.uk/Girl-Chronic...

Magic began with the djinn—spirits shaped from the raw forces of existence. Their presence kept balance as mortals learned to wield power. 300 years ago the djinn vanished without explanation. The world has been collapsing into the vacuum they left behind. And nature abhors a vacuum. #indieauthor

@gailsimone.bsky.social Do the upcoming events in Jed Mckays X-Men, the DNX, and FF comics affect your plans for Uncanny? If so, how does that feel? Does it feel invasive if you already had plans for story arcs but then have to change them because of another titles plans?

Quick update. My manuscript is uploaded in KDP. I hope it will be available over the weekend. I will of course post when this happens. #indieauthor #fantasy #swordandsorcery #debut

The sea remembers when the land was whole. It remembers the day the coastline broke, cities sinking, mountains becoming scattered islands. The cliffs still bear the scars. The archipelago never healed. Some wounds are too old for time to mend. #indieauthor #swordandsorcery #fantasy

So. I've been spending some time this week building a group of ARC readers for my Betrayer’s Embrace series. So far the feedback has been positive. Some more refinements to Book 1 The Girl and the Pit before it's release on Amazon Kindle. More details to follow in the next few weeks.
