NEM‑average wholesale spot prices averaged $74/MWh, down $66/MWh (-47%) from Q2 2025. That's lowest Q2 average since 2020. Increased renewable generation, higher grid-scale battery discharge during peak periods, and reduced evening peak demand contributed to lower prices. #energysky

Gas pains...again! Europe and Asia must slash gas usage to protect economies and security. Heat pumps, renewables and batteries can be quickly deployed and are often cheaper than gas tech. They are also a lot cleaner. They are ready and able! #energysky

Nuclear generation globally is essentially flat, so it is not keeping up with the growth of global electricity demand. So, it has lost global share of electricity production. Nuclear was 10.4% of global electricity in 2019 thru August. It was 8.55% in 2026 through August.

US Renewables generated 983 TWh of USA's electricity thru September 2026. That was 27.6% of US electricity in 2026. That compares to 25.6% in 2025 thru September and 15.1% thru 9/2016. Coal was 14.7% of US electricity thru 9/2025 and 29.9% thru 9/2016. RE is nearly double coal! #energysky
