visual code blocks (blueprints etc) have always been an absolute nightmare to me i understand the metaphor as it relates to code but the layout doesn't help me orient my perspective and doesnt help me with organization i started on gamemaker's blocks and was constantly confused b4 switching to code

in absence of a darksign i now make a determination when i die to a secret boss or "leave some" money on a random annoying enemy in an area i just did if its a lot of money i go to the store and immediately buy whatever is the largest purchasable item if its a small amount i kill mina (now 3) times
my solution in cases like this is not to go digging through mods or accessibility menus to find options to turn "never lose cash" on i think game developers should just make you actually lose your money on death if they want to make you lose your money on death even dark souls 1 had a darksign
i'm frequently interacting with the mechanic in the (worst?) way (sparks spread out across multiple zones and no incentive to stop to fight hard targets for bones im about to lose) and not getting to interact with it say as "i am at the end of this dungeon and need to master this boss in <3 attemps"

on the whole the things i'm mainly still dying to are the double jump mechanics over pits with surprisingly high pit damage, optional fights, and 2x2 enemies if its a 2x2 enemy i'm frequently opting to just avoid it like its a dark souls 2 encounter the story progression bosses have been mostly 1try

i have grown tired of games with darksouls money but mina the hollower has taken my ticket for the worst implementation ever if you die twice (without retreival) you lose everything you were carrying the second time
