Social programs ARE being discontinued. The dental plan and childcare plan are being stalled and starved and the pharmcare plan was abandoned, healthcare is being privatized, our airports are being sold off, Canada Post cuts, 1000s of federal layoffs, etc. #cdnpoli

Pierre Polyester@canadian-critic.bsky.social

If that were indeed the case, social programs would be discontinued. Like the dental plan and child care. The only thing the "seems" conservative about them is new pipelines. But those who tout that nonsense dont seem to understand Canada is in a fight for its life and must bridge this gap.

H𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 a 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁 and wins. Now try to imagine any Dem candidate, no matter how progressive, speaking this forcibly against their equally putrid opponent. Oh no, just not done here, you might say. Except that Dem would win their election.

Lula Goes HARD

Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

It's disheartening to see the largest publications in the nation not cite original reporting from independent/individual reporters. Not one mention of @marisakabas.bsky.social's work in ID'ing Tommy. Instead, the WSJ implies that Tommy came forward himself. Disingenuous, at best.

Pathetic and hilarious. Vote for us again, and we'll keep doing all the bad things we imply that only the Conservatives do. No, you can't have it both ways. In most ridings, the threat of vote-splitting is a convenient joke. If your own riding hasn't been close, don't waste your vote on this clown.

David Eby@davidebybc.bsky.social

If you’ve voted Green in the past, I’m asking for your support in this election. In 11 seats last time, the Green vote was the difference between electing a Conservative and electing a New Democrat.

Hot damn, this guy's good.

So... anyone remotely left in our Van-Strathcona riding: Don't waste your vote on the same old NDP. Vote for the BC Greens, with Tanya Webking!

It will come as no surprise that the party of "Not Trump" has no plan to do anything differently than what caused it to lose to Trump in both 2016 and 2024. It will burn up more than a quarter of the first year reinstating what can be torn down by a single bill. apnews.com/article/midt...

Most elected officials are careerists - meaning that if you don’t push them, they’ll take the path of least resistance. Now is the time to be loud & clear about what America needs: A transparent accounting of everything that’s gone wrong, & consequences for those responsible.

Every word of this from @drewmagary.bsky.social. Democrats will likely retake Congress, but what they do next is an open question. That's why it's important for us all to press Democrats -- right now -- to commit to an aggressive agenda of oversight and accountability.

Supporting Newsom means you give up anything you want from a good government. Give up on fighting climate change. The fucking ultra-wealthy are soaking up all the riches of the planet, faster than we can imagine. They can't yet escape on spaceships. We have to hold them accountable, or else.
