So sorry to hear of the passing of Lawrence McCutcheon. He was a great player, excellent scout/personnel executive, and a superb human being. He had nothing but friends at Rams Park in St. Louis. RIP “Clutch.”

Ready to go at Fort Zumwalt East High School Craft Fair, 9am-3pm, 600 1st Executive Drive in St. Peters. We’re in the back of what’s called the “small gym,” next to “Punkin Withda Pups” dog treats. My niece and nephew have played a few basketball games on this court in recent years.

We're back in St. Peters on Saturday for our last #stlblues book-signing event of the month. Hope to see you there: Fort Zumwalt East HS Craft Fair 9 am-3pm 600 First Executive Ave.

See you tonight @ Centene. If you already have a book come by and say hi. If you want a book, we’ve got one with your name on it. 25% of all proceeds go to Blues for Kids.

A delightful story about a long-ago time in St. Louis soccer

Trying to figure out how to work “Correct Time To Buy Pants” into the newsletter

The kits also have a nifty sleeve patch that comes from the front of the actual Pants Store Co. building.

Lindenwood men’s hockey got 2 goals from Andrew LeBlanc; 1 goal & 2 assists from Michael Bevilacqua in Friday’s 7-4 win @ Air Force. As has been their custom this season, Lions (3-3) fell behind early - trailing 2-0 - but scored 3 straight in 3rd period to break 4-4 tie. Air Force won Thursday. 5-2

And Bob Ramsey, voice of Billikens basketball. 11:30 am, $35 - which supports NFF charities.

(more) The big crowd couldn't have come at a better time because the CCHA (Central Collegiate Hockey Association) is considering adding Lindenwood _ currently an independent. League affiliation would give Lindenwood another avenue to qualify for NCAA tourney as program develops and foster rivalries.

Lindenwood men's hockey game Thurs. @ Centene vs Lake Superior State drew 2,104 fans. According to boxscores on school website, it's the 2nd-largest home crowd in 4-plus seasons at Div. Although Saturday’s game was billed as an exhibition as opposed to a regular-season game - I’m not sure why - Maryville’s fledgling D-I men’s hockey team defeated St. Lawrence (NY) 3-1 Saturday to sweep their weekend series. Congrats to the Saints.

Despite my disappointing last-place finish in the stein-holding competition, I had a great time at Bluewood Brewing's Oktoberfest pop-up market Saturday on Cherokee Street. Sold some #stlblues books, met some fine people. What a great place. Thx to Rachel of StandSmallStl.
