In life I've run into petty tyrants. They make everyone feel bad without really improving stuff. Important lessons from history are that you can't please and appease them. I can only practice non-violence and collaboration with sane people.

Thankful for quiet time at night when nobody's on my ass about anything. The cats help too.

Thankful for being able to feel deep, colorful sadness. It helps me get perspective. Sometimes I feel like I don't have the capacity to be emotional.
