The benefit of having older parents is that you use old words. Luckily for me a lot of folks on my block had older parents, too so it wasn't weird to any of us to use them in casual conversation. This also explains why some people's grandparents loved me so much 😭😂

I worked maybe a week at a "popular" restaurant. Cocky owner, no real training for new staff or paperwork done. They paid me cash in hand for my hours when they let me go. Good riddance. I laughed when their other locations failed.

If I'm watching a video game movie I'm not expecting good or thought provoking cinema. I expect fights, nonsense & terribleness to ensue.

A short tale of survival: My Mama went from fussing at me because my handwriting wasn't legible to fussing because it was "too extravagant" & my cursive "J" was ✌🏽wrong✌🏽 I told her she wrote like the penmanship book & that's why it was so easy to forge her signature. And I'm STILL ALIVE!!
