If you encountered a useless chin since 138 Google Chrome on Android (gestures navigations) and real pissed (as i am) here's waht you can do: - go chrome://flags and disable "edge-to-edge-everywhere" and related "edge-to-edge" flags. this should help. ...

i'm 40yo, i started coding almost 2 years ago, at some point i noticed i started having troubles seeing. I'd have to move an obj further away to see it focused. i've never had those. I thought: maybe that was the age and maybe that was the coding 10h a day. in the dark. and the lack of sleep. 1/

now i want you to try it out and tell me if it does work. i'm sure it brings more colors to the life, i mean - after playing/developing it i started seeing more colors during the day. Different color shades would catch my eye.

i was like: ok, that was great to see things, thanks. anyway.. yesterday i noticed i could see normally again. i think the color-game i'm making caused the effect, since it does require focused perceptive vision to play it. 2/

I wanted to design wormholes for my memorypads, i wanted spiraling gradients. But normal spiral didn't work well and i went for Fibonacci sequence. And ended up making something idk yet what. But i love it! Love CSS capabilities. It's just 50 lines of code that create that whole trippy dahlia thing

I mean every time i am to open hot/cold water i trippple think coz in my house this order is mixed up from tap to tap. And here i write and i trip-think too - what's gonna happen when i hit that Enter key..

No one told me this and i'm kinda pissed. Coz damn! this is so helpful! it's about making custom snippets for autofill suggestions. Now i can get even more lazy writing in JS #javascript #coding

my 1yo daughter is having her molars cutting through. it gets tough during the nights. i used to have sleepless nights, now i have them almost workless. kinda bummed. v excited about her having those coming tho.

Upload With Progress! After a year and a half in web dev i finally made it! I use tus where i can and it does the thing. But to Cloudflare R2 i couldn't display progress. Now i can. v happy about it! XHR happened to be friendlier that i thought it was. func code in Alt #webdev

More #readway stuff. thanks @idil.codes for sharing the step gradients idea. Soon will be in the app

i was gonna sort out files adding functionality to my books making app. but now i remembered that i had an idea to add a step gradient to my color picking thing, and so i might do that instead. why 9 steps? i mean - is there a reason? Here's my pallette add-on to the color picker.

Here's what i've been working on this evening. It's a part of my text parser that's not only to make individually styled text blocks but also to add audio and video. So i finished the recordings part, next is adding files. I think i'll make a longer video and show lots of things then. #buildinpublic

night. dark blue sky. snowfall. orange sodium lamps shine through myriads of snowflakes. i stare at them fall thousands at a time though making no noise. my mind gets still for once. what a treat.. i notice myself forgiving winter for its cold long nights.

Yep. when i started posting to Threads about me building a networking app for writers - my views dropped down to nothing. and never got back. the only interaction that happens on my posts - is when people come check my page after a connection we made on their threads. that's not all tho ..

anyone hiding in the code too? can you relate #indiehacker ?

Jugo Rocks@jugorocks.bsky.social

yeah me too. that's the thing that coding is a 100% predictable matter. and any problem can be solved in it. but marketing and stuff - unpredictable and so it contrasts with coding in comfort. well, i guess, while it's uncomfortable to take risks playing.

I'm going through a middle SaaS crisis. Can anyone relate? Watching "The Bear" 2nd season in between breaking my app's code sessions. Watched roughly 2 episodes in the last two days coz after 2-5 minutes i get an idea to my current dev challenges and go try it out. 1/3 #buildinpublic

Today finally made my screen recorder to capture system sound along with mic and decent framerate for capturing videos. which should bring enjoyment, right? but there's so mush not yet solved problems ahead... 2/3

3/3 actually it feels like they are not ahead but behind, like i should have had them sorted like yesterday and yet haven't. That's what i think the middle project crisis is made of. btw i love the movie. love the relationships pictured in it

hey #indiehacker s! What's frontend? Where it starts and ends? Is making a video-editor with transcode in ffmpeg in wasm - is frontend or it's just popups, scroll driven animations and stuff? There were debates that there's no such thing as frontend engineering, like it's just playing with lego.

Talking about using libraries. Ones i needed a color-picker and i found one. And i sorta liked it but on mobile it was different and i didn't like it at all. So i decided to make one. I was about 3 months from my first line of code at that moment. 1/4 #indiehacker stuff

Jugo Rocks@jugorocks.bsky.social

i agree. I avoid using libraries unless i have to, like ffmpeg, three, crypto.. I used htmlToCanvas at the beginning of my journey but then made my custom canvas work function and never regretted it. not only i learned things, but also i made some handy tools for my app that go beyond that library.

Then i added 2 knobs around the circle for saturation and alpha. and with time it's got eye-drop thing, blendModes selector and a palette with complimentary, tetradic and triadic hue picks (which i enjoy using). that's the story. you can try my color pickle at readway.app watch how it's done 4/4

here's the image generated with a number of 1px div elements. You can actually see each of them there : ) later i replaced it with times smaller version so browser's blur makes it look smooth, and well, it loads faster.

I made loops to cover a circle area with 1px div elements each with according calculated color and a listener to for click event that sent the pixel's color to callback. It worked on my laptop but drastically failed on mobile. no wonder why 😅 2/4

I took a screenshot of my pixel artwork and used it as background-image for the circle, and the math that i used to determine colors for the pixels, so for according pointer coordinates it gave distance to the center and angle and thus the L and H for HSL color formula. 3/4

Changed filter menu design. Then stumbled upon old version in screenshots (1st) and found that i kinda miss it. And i thought of changing it back. which design you'd like see using the filter: 1st, 2nd, neither? #buildinpublic #indiehacker #webdev

I'm making a text parser for Readway app. Now we have fully customizable headers, note-nodes, voice-nodes, lists. Each supports individual styling including: font face, size, weight, spacing, alignment, color and a few text-shadows. So we can create quite rich intricate text fabrics. .. #readway

... and i added letter-variántş for keyboard access with Alt-key. soon gonna show the stuff. today i tried to film it but it was just failing to appear good enough. as it usually tends to do when i try showcase it. needa fix them bugs.

having photoworks printed spread around the house sometimes leads to stumbling upon one and deepening into it and remembering things related to it. how i made it. what it was to me. that "full stop" feeling when i knew it's finished. #photography ...

it's similar to photocards from travels. watching them remembering happenings... and artworks are photocards from travels but inside - to the eternity. we can share them. show to others to illustrate the travels. though the travels

I find it hard to niche down and i don't want you to have a compromised experience. But here is no dilemma, because we can mute tags. and i can post from all of my sides and you won't need to unfollow me completely but can omit sides that you aren't interested to see in your following feed. ...

... so i can post my photoworks (ok most people like art), i can post my web development coding adventures and pieces of fun code that i wrote, the natural language writings life happenings, my thoughts about inner world matters (psychology), adhd, autism and synesthesia related thoughts, ...

... love, sex and universe,.. and if you relate to a half of me you can hide the rest if you don't want it in your feed. right? i mean i get it. if you aren't into coding we can still be friends. and i can post the coding stuff. same account. i just need a tag for each side.
