leaving the cult of evangelical christianity is so weird when it's all you've known for the majority of your life. I'm grateful that I was able to get out sooner than later, but part of me wonders in what ways my life would have been different had I never been brought up in it in the first place

like so much of the work I'm doing in therapy rn is untangling my sexuality vs what are remnants of the horror show that was purity culture. it's hard work and it would have been nice to not have gone through that :(

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

AOC isn't perfect by any means, but this is the sort of energy dems *should* be embracing in midterms and future elections, not the bullshit strategy of pandering to moderates

obsession is one of those movies where the more I think about, the more I despise it. It went from being 2 stars to 1.5 stars and now to 1 star. idk what people saw in it

YES. THIS IS THE ENERGY WE NEED TO BE BRINGING TO THE AI FIGHT NOT THE SENTIENT TAKEOVER BULLSHIT INVENTED BY SILICON VALLEY

AOC: "As AI begins to encroach in our society, their goal is to take your cognition away from you. AI's goal is to take your thoughts away from you, your ability to think away from you, so that you become dependent on a machine ... reading books is active resistance"

what's even crazier to me is like people supported him after saying objectively islamaphobic/racist things but THIS is where they draw the line???????

idk, I left h3's stuff in the dust a HOT minute ago and tuned out from all of the awful drama he was trying to instigate (suing small creators) but I really hope that is the final nail in the coffin and I don't have to hear about him again in the online discourse

Best part of biking is getting to a stoplight and complaining to a complete stranger about the asshole parked in a bike who shares your sentiment and then making morbid jokes about what it would take to make ALL of the bike lanes on mass ave protected
