Given that it's LoL's 17th anniversary, I have two hypotheses that have been on my mind for months: 1. Onslaught probably wasn’t just a demo for investors; it’s likely that the 2009 LoL engine is simply an updated version of the engine used for Onslaught in 2006.

2. Averdrian, Priscilla, Well, Gavid, Tabu and Rob were perhaps never canceled champions for LoL 2009 and were residues left in Closed Beta 1 (March 25, 2009), from Onslaught files or the unreleased League Alpha
