There are just too damn many AirBnBs! At first, people were buying up inexpensive properties that could've been starter homes or affordable rentals in order to flip them for a profit. Now hosts are buying every affordable property and turning them into mini hotels. Leaving poor people S.O.L.

My five year old has the soul of Orson Welles. We were outside school and he 'put a kiss in my pocket for later.' Extremely touched by this, I gave him two back. He dug out the second one, THEATRICALLY CRUSHED IT IN HIS FIST and said 'one is enough.'

I may have experienced a glitch. I saw yesterday Dan Rather had posted something on FB, and I was like, "Morons! He died like 5 months ago!" I know he did. I remember hearing it on the news and being sad about it. But a minute of looking up the exact date showed he's not dead yet in this reality. 🙀

Honestly, the USPS has NOTHING, 100% NOTHING to do with elections. The USPS has one and only one job. Mailing mail. They are not arbiters of who gets a ballot. If a state sends a box of ballots to the USPS, they are required by law to deliver the phucking mail. The stupidity is mindnumbing.

On a different subject, why was Disclosure Day so disappointing?? I guess I expected another Close Encounters to capture my imagination forever. Why wasn't it that? The story seemed so ... limited or something. 🤔

So, rather than eliminating the national debt like he said he would, he tripled it. And for that we've gained NOT. ONE. THING. that helps anyone. In fact we've lost food and medical assistance, national public lands, funding for education and for public broadcasting, just off the top of my head. 😞

My teen was bragging about the er new school library, and couldn't wait to show it to me at the open house. She was like, "ta-dah!", and it WAS a big space. But I was confused bc there seemed to hardly be any books. I kept looking around. "Um. Is this all of it?" And she didn't know what I meant.

She said there were lots more books than her old school had. I was flummoxed. I remember the school library having aisles and aisles of books. Not just a sparse few along the perimeter. Then I saw the sign over the door that said "Media Center", not "Library."

So I thought, oh ok, the collection is mostly digitIzed, I guess. But I didn't see any computers either. Wtf is going on in the school libraries nowadays??

After a ton of diy videos, I think I've managed to fix my leaky fridge with a screwdriver, a pipe cleaner, and my own two hands. 💪👏 Hopefully. Time will tell.
