I've never been a big BioWare fan but it is genuinely baffling to me that a studio this big could ever shut down. So many media companies are owned and run by ghouls who would fire everyone that worked for them if it saved them 1 cent on a tax form.

I hope workers in other game studios see WoTC unionizing, and see the mass layoffs and BioWare closing and decide it's time to put their foot down. What do we have to lose by unionizing? A job that you're afraid every day you'll be laid off from anyway? UNIONIZE THE GAME INDUSTRY!

RIP Bioware I only played Mass Effect a few years after the Legendary Edition came out, and I never properly got around to Dragon Age, but it's baffling to me that such a monumental and influential studio could be shut down. Fuck EA, fuck Kushner, and may these wonderful IPs find loving homes
