I've been to many protests this year. Not one I've been at has had any violent actions. We've exercised our 1st amendment rights to free speech and peaceful assembly, over and over without incident. Why is the American Fascist Party afraid? Remember we the people are the ones who hold the power.

I find this amusing. I work 40 hours a week at my day job, and on the weekends I volunteer my time for FREE to protest and protect our democracy. Nobody I've protested with is making a dime. They're flummoxed that people would do this because they loathe 47.

So tired of paywall articles that keep getting posted. Every time I try to read one and can't? That account is blocked and I'll never be suckered into clickbait from that account again. Multiple avenues for the same news that I get free. Not paying for paid subscriptions.

Follow the money. All these cuts to programs and federal staffing levels. Where is all the money congress appropriated going? If it's not spent it needs to be accounted for. Stop the grift.

Got a song brewing.....current subjects. I don't write them, they come to me. I liken it to tuning in a radio station or an antenna that picks the song up. I'm just a conduit it flows through. I'd so love this one to go large, if I could ever have a single "hit song", let this one be THE one.

I had to break my META ban today. A good friend of mine who played in two bands with me, and also played in a duo with me has passed away. So many good times with him. It's hard enough to make friends as adults. It's even harder maintaining those friendships over time. Rest in power.

Just got home from a nice afternoon walk with my wife. A gorgeous 76 degrees out. It's been a long winter, and it's finally nice out. The next 5 months are why I live where I do.

So, along with music and political posts, I like to share simple takes on life. I'm wearing a brand new pair of shoes today. There isn't a much better way to start your day than with fresh kicks. My feet are loving it! Hope you too get a new pair of shoes as well.

Three months not using META apps, X or Amazon.

Instead of spending exorbitant amounts of time doomscrolling this week, I'm going to setup a synthesizer rig and start working on keyboard parts for original and cover songs for my band. I'll make some time this week for new protest signs as well, but I need to focus first and foremost on music.

3 protests in two days. Yesterday's on the coast, there was a bald eagle flying overhead. And they keep getting bigger. Viva la Resistance!

I often wonder about things. When does someone decide that they are going to be evil instead of good? Who has it in their soul to intentionally hurt someone? When does greed tip the scale towards the descent towards bad intentions and deeds? And is it a slow descent that is unrecognizable?

Went to protest locally today. I am planning to do the same on 2 days next week, including Easter Sunday. This is what Democracy looks like.

Set up the DAW tonight, and everything works. Not pretty, but it's functional. This will be my third recording project using this same rig. MOTU 828 MkII, PC, running Win7 64 bit, on Cakewalk Sonar X3. 20 simultaneous ins and outs for recording purposes. We'll use the X32 for mic preamp. Let's Rock!

Went to my state capital to protest today. I was very surprised at the turnout. One dissenter in the crowd, and he was confronted by security and walked away peacefully. After speeches, we walked around the adjacent block. Again, very minimal dissenters, and a handful of MAGA in trucks driving by.

Got some good news tonight. May be expanding our 3 piece band to 4. Another guitarist. We played with him at the beginning of this group, and he bowed out when his main gig came calling. I guess that's over now. Their loss may be our gain. And I might get to play keys again too! Oh the possibilities

It's been a while coming, but my band is setting up the recording gear this evening. Last week we got a new desk to hold everything. Tonight we wall mount the monitor and start the setup process. Anticipating starting tracking within 2 weeks.
