Just Here For The Company

I'd like to think my return to political BlueSky is why Hillary decided to join us. ✌️😎👍

Gas prices are “temporarily” high, says the president. That’s because Republicans are temporarily in power. Vote.

Did federal agents really just spend 5 hours at a congressperson's home searching for papers filed with the federal government decades ago? Is there not an archive or file room with an amazingly organized clerk who could pull those files for them? 🪧😶🗂️

Denmark is trolling Trump.

I managed an ER with a psyche screening center and I gotta tell you, we involuntarily committed a lot of people for far less troubling behavior than exhibited daily & publicly by the miscreant-in-chief and his cabal of "psycho"-fants. The White House is a criminal asylum taken over by patients.

Maybe the miscreant-in-chief's actions are so illegal and/or stupid, that trump can't even believe it himself. Or maybe the entire White House Correspondents Association needs to walk out until all First Amendment restrictions on agencies and reporters are lifted.

You have to understand the Miscreant-in-Chief thinks "Free Press" means publicity he doesn't pay for. He doesn't understand a damned thing about Constitutional Rights or democracy.

Remember when a US president's White House staff included a number of high-functioning, career diplomats whose job was to make sure the president & his cabinet never embarrassed himself or the country? I picture them all crying in a dive bar somewhere. 🪧😶🥃

BREAKING: Republicans JUST blocked Democrats' bill that would have ENDED Trump's tariffs on Canada and his ability to keep starting these trade wars. This would have saved Americans THOUSANDS of dollars. But Republicans chose once again to put Trump's approval over the American people.

After 9/11, the U.S. government was over-focused on fighting terrorism, losing sight of other threats, and Americans are still living with the consequences, @radiofreetom.bsky.social argues:

Anybody remember Operation Roughrider, when the trump's favorite drunk had his underlings fire millions of dollars worth of bombs and missiles at the Houthis in Yemen so they couldn't affect shipping in the Red Sea anymore? Looks like that was as effective as their dismantling of Iran's defenses.

This is it! Adios! Farewell! Au Revoir! Hasta... well, 10 days or so. I'll be traversing the USA with a quick hit into Ontario with assorted immigrants and tourists for a while. Figured I'd just delete the app for the trip while I meander through a few immigration checkpoints. Sad. See ya!

Flying into the USA tonight. Should I bring my own food? 🪧😶🍔

The GOP is running identical TV ads for Lawlor (NY) and Kean (NJ) lauding them for saving healthcare and lowering hospital costs for everybody. Anybody got ANY idea what they are talking about? If there was a mention about a specific bill or something, I missed it. 🪧😶🍸

I wonder if there was any food left in that catering cart by the time the fatty-in-chief got to the next plane. 🪧😐🍔

You know what those electrified gloves are good for? Making someone who is passively interacting with an officer appear to resist. I can see "They made a sudden offensive move" or "They threw their arm at me" replacing "you almost drove into me" as ICE's new justification for shooting folks.

When someone calls me a commie or socialist, I ask them to define what they mean by that. And I tell them I can't be bothered to explain my position to someone who doesn't know the meaning of the labels he's throwing around. Maybe they'll Google it. But as long as they shut up, I'm happier. 🪧😎👍

I’m sure I am not the only American who’s endured decades of desperate, unrelenting solicitation by Capital One to put a piece of my modest income into their hands. Imagine them closing accounts and rejecting millions from one guy? How bad must that guy be? 🪧😶💰

What stops a moderate Democrat from adding Medicare-For-All to their platform? The issue polls well across party lines and can be woven into affordability & fairness arguments. It is no longer radical or far left. I assume insurance companies' campaign dollars say no. That's why progressives win.

If only we had a Congress with the gall to pass a windfall tax on war/nat'l crisis profits. Not only do our kids die while the rich get richer. But we also shoulder most of the financial costs to send them off. I am absolutely disgusted by oil companies' financials this month.

...

Instead of asking, “who won the 2020 election, I wish someone would ask, “Do you think Kamala Harris won the 2024 election?” After they adamantly say, “No!” then ask about 2020. If they can’t say 2020 was legit, ask “so the prez in 2024 secured the election far better than the prez in 2020?” 😬

How does a $400 million upgrade on a $400 million plane NOT include a secure comms room and missile defenses? 🪧😶💸

So, since temporary resident trump failed to get appropriate approvals from the owners and/or construction permits for any of the White House destruction (sorry- "renovations."), we can force him to pay for returning the building to its original state, right? That's how it works where I lived.

I'd really like to see what happens if we shut down all the data centers. Just need enough warning to hit the ATM first. 🍿😎💵

I can totally see multiple GOP operatives swearing they "just spoke" to McConnell, along with an elaborate death announcement some time in August, only to be exposed by the narcissistic antichrist-in-chief bragging about the stunt by November and laughing about how they kept Mitch on ice for weeks.

What are the odds trump knows the Housing Bill becomes law at midnight whether he signs it or not? It sounds like he doesn't know he has to veto it to kill it. Wanna bet he eventually asks the Supreme Court to suspend it because he didn't sign it? What a maroon. 🪧😎✌️

Let's face it. Mitch McConnell is as alive as dumold (There's a B?) trump is sane. Or Mitch is as alive as trump is intelligent... or athletic... Or empathetic... Or patriotic... or Christian... 🪧😶🍸

I once got into a tiff with nursing home staff who swore they spoke to a patient minutes before we arrived despite obvious rigor mortis. "Let me clarify the question," I said. "When is the last time SHE spoke to YOU?" Thinking of this as GOP folks start telling us how they "just spoke to Mitch."

The same folks who say we don't need to know if a sitting senator was resuscitated or not after a "CPR in progress" incident demand details of your latest OBGYN appointment and wonder if your kid has ever discussed his/her sexuality with a pediatrician. 🪧😶🩺

. Hey Americans!! If you’re still wondering why the world hates you, here’s an example of a reason We don’t hate YOU per se We hate your politicians .

I wish I trusted Dem leadership & campaign chairs to turn the Platner disgrace into a pro-Dem campaign point. Push him out and hammer home how the party deals with such things compared to GOP acceptance of trump, that Texas predator, and all the other MAGA miscreants. Maybe we pull more indies in

If you're a Dem candidate or office holder indignant because Dem Socialists are winning elections, you better recognize that it is not only Dem Socialists beating incumbents and the issue is more than Israel & old folks ticking off voters. Stop whining! Analyze the winning strategies and learn.

Do most states have noise and light pollution laws? Wondering if we can use them to battle some of these data centers. Cows and people can't sleep! States also have to assure data centers are not exempt from drought regulations and any mandated energy cutbacks. Put some disruption risks in play.

I really want someone to hack into the EPA and add the Reflecting Pool to the Super Fund Site list. Maybe other folks can acquire some appropriate signage? 🪧😎🦠

Dem leadership seems stunned that more popular candidates with more popular opinions and more popular agendas are winning. Their own polls show more people (not just more Dems) back what DNCC still considers radically progressive. How popular does an idea have to be for them to adopt it?

Besides the billions spent on fighting the war and the surrender payoff, let’s not forget we still have to rebuild our destroyed Middle East bases and replace some very expensive downed aircraft. And don’t get me started on what this continues to cost you and I at the pump and food markets.

I’m a little worried about what the wounded narcissist trump does to offset the humiliation and loss of support resulting from his woeful surrender to Iran. Maybe we should tell him it’s a great deal until we get our impeachment team in place this January?

If these pseudo-Christian (White) Nationalists want to bring us back to pre-Jesus laws and standards, let them start with a Jubilee year. That is when all debts are forgiven and folks can reclaim lands/property lost because of those debts. Kind of a financial reboot to level the playing field.

One way to pay for our surrender to Iran would be to scale back the size of the deranged pedophile's ballroom project.

Maybe I’m overreacting. But watching the NYC celebrations last night… I’m sensing some 1969-level vibes. For you youngsters- the Mets and Jets followed up the Knicks’ 1969 championship with titles of their own in a magical year for all of Metro NY. Maybe the Mets & my Giants can do it this time!

I have a lot of reasons to want to be filthy rich, but today I want to fly every Native American I can find into Washington D.C. for a weekend-long Rain Dance Festival around the White House. And maybe some Wind Talkers can help get everyone under that ugly tarp adequately soaked, too. 🌧️☔😎🪧🌧️

How bad does the USA have to screw up the World Cup to draw the attention of the International Olympics Committee?

trump continues to lash out at women and drool over the physiques of men he finds attractive or masculine. And I really need someone to (very) publicly explain to him how much of an impact coming out of the closet this month would have on a large number of voting Americans. 🪧😎🏳️‍🌈

For Trump, Senate Republicans will go above and beyond. But they're simply unwilling to fight for YOU. What a disgrace.

If I wanted to move somewhere, and 100-200 thousand folks hit the streets in protest, I'd say OK and look elsewhere. But evil rich folks like the Kushners won't. Instead, they'll raise the budget for local bribes & reassess perimeter security. And they'll lose no sleep if things get violent.

Any news organization that does not have its sharpest woman on the trump beat is coddling a misogynistic pedophile.

In sports, it is not unusual to say a game is over before the final whistle when one side is overwhelming the other. Maybe that's what Rubio means when he says the Iran War is over? Maybe he's conceding we can't win. Or he's just lying his butt off again. 🪧😶☕

Not paying for Paramount/CBS streaming services is a good start. But don't forget to block CBS and CBS News on any social media forum you might belong to. I don't know if it costs them anything. But it feels good! 🪧😎👍
