AI made me want to write again. My weak writing skills now stand out and can't be confused with LLM output. The goal still to write more to improve but it's less scary to post, especially as non-native english.

And that's fixed! Talks with live transcript at 2026.atmosphereconf.org/talks

@atmosphereconf.org Hi, I'm reading standard-reader.app/a/did:plc:le... which links to atmosphereconf.org/talks which doesn't exist. Where can I find the interactive transcript? cc @maboa.bsky.social

I'm using @nextjs.org incremental server rendering to build a static page which is rebuilt every hour (when a request comes). This makes loading fast and doesn't spam bsky api. Does it count as an AppView? 😅

I'd like to be able to sort all my records by date but some of them don't have a createdAt, or updateAt or a last resort tid. It seems to be mostly profile records. Any universal technique to always get a date?

Don't worry guys, Part 2 is here: Houston, we've got a book & review lexicon! I don't think it is in it's final shape just yet, but I believe it to be a strong proposal, and well justified if I may say so, myself 😌

Nick The Sick@nickthesick.com

I've been thinking a lot about how to define a shared book lexicon for the Lexicon Community Working Group: discourse.atmosphere.community/t/in-which-a... But, instead wrote a treatise against ISBNs. I hope I can link to it whenever someone asks why their import didn't work on @bookhive.buzz 😝

Things I'm trying to keep up with LLM produced code - live diff panel of every edit so I catch surprising things early and often - try to fix interesting/critical bugs myself (that's usually where I noticed I don't understand the code anymore) - "quizz me" stolen from @geoffreylitt.com talk.

- refactor often when one of the 3 previous items reveals something I don't understand. So far it has mostly been over engineering (preparing for future flexibility), unnecessary backward compatible or defensive code.

Introducing 🤯 flex-wrap: balance 🤯 Would you use this? ⚠️ Not a real feature yet, just something one of our engineers has been working on. (You can try it out in the latest Chrome Canary with the experimental web platform features flag though!)

What can the radar tell us? Well, just after midnight the radar ‘lights up’ because almost 400,000 (!!!) birds 🪶 immediately flee to the sky! Over about an hour, looking at the entire country, MILLIONS of birds are seriously disturbed by fireworks. Dive in right away? 🧪: doi.org/10.1002/fee....

You are up to date.
