This means the absolute world to me. Very grateful to sources and academics who are STILL helping me uncover the legacy of lead in our environment, as well as the impact it’s having on our health. Feel very lucky (as always) to work at the @financialtimes.com and with such brilliant editors. 🙏

🚨Some news: I've started today as the FT's UK news editor, leading our UK news desk. It's a privilege to work with the best editors and reporters in the business -- especially at such an fascinating time for the UK.

Last month, the FT along with Bloomberg, NYT and WSJ appealed the extraordinary secrecy in the FTX bankruptcy proceedings, where the court has hidden the names of every last customer-creditor, even major institutional customers owed $100s of millions

The idea that we can fully understand the collapse of FTX without at least some sense of who actually traded on the exchange in big size is clearly untenable. So too is idea that crypto deserves a pass from the normal standards of transparency everyone else follows in US court.

Every day a joy when navigating English courts. Today I'm told that while Orders are available to the public, the Schedules attached to the Order and referred to within the Order "can not be given to non parties" and I'd have to litigate to obtain them 👍

You are up to date.
