Tomorrow, October 22, 2026, the City of Kamloops, in partnership with BC Wildfire Service and Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc, will be intentionally applying fire to a 6 ha section of Peterson Creek Nature Park in a controlled process known as a prescribed burn.

The City has released four build‑ready residential lots on Royal Avenue, each priced at $369,000 and offering breathtaking views of the Thompson River.

🚧 Watch Your Speed in Construction Zones Construction zone speed limits protect workers who may be just metres from moving traffic. Even when crews aren't visible, changing road conditions, lane shifts, uneven surfaces, and equipment can create unexpected hazards.

Passing someone on a multi-use pathway? Give them space and time to respond. 🚶 Slow down as you approach. ↔️ Leave enough room when passing. 🔔 Use your bell or say “on your left” when appropriate. 🛑 Be patient when the pathway is busy.

A predictable pass makes the pathway more comfortable for everyone. ✨ Slow down. Give space. Share with care. #Kamloops
