If this picture is accurate it is one of the saddest displays of power by the “new sheriff in town”. The words on that wall were positive and encouraging not dark and gray like the color chosen. Would be really interested in knowing exactly who and why that wall was painted.

Indiana still needs power restored snd assistance 12 days after a devastating storm and this administration is doing yard work/renovating Washington and holding sporting events in public spaces. Taxes are meant to fund actual public service not pet projects. FEMA is public safety, ICE is not.

Nurses save lives every single day, and now the Dept. of Education wants to make their degrees harder to afford. In the middle of a national shortage. It makes ZERO sense. I work beside these heroes. I see what they give. And I’m not staying quiet while Washington makes their path even harder.

If we have to cut departments and programs why are we funding commercials for ICE? Waste and abuse of taxpayer funds. I sound like a conservative Republican don’t I. Homeland Security is out of fiscal and humanitarian control!

My question to congress is why not vote to maintain the affordable care act as is until a replacement is found and voted on and reopen government now so all employees are getting paid. This should be acceptable to all for now.

1/2 🧵Blaming ANY single cause is an act of trying to oversimplify the "cause." Like anything in politics, it's multifactorial. Nothing in my post suggested elected democrats as being the "cause." That would have been stupid.

What could have happened if Ms Noem smiled and invited the senator in to ask his question. She was obviously comfortable with her mission. Her response looked weak. She/they chose violence over a peaceful resolution.
