Really happy with this little oil I just finished!!

✨Sold! ✨

I’m still clinging to summer! Here’s a 12x9” oil I just painted from a photo I took back in July! ‘Roses at Lake Pocotopaug’

A very small sampling of the random things I’ve found while ‘beach-combing’ along the Connecticut River this summer. I’m mostly rock-hunting but I’ve found some spiffy early glass and ceramic sherds. I even keep all the modern glass in a big jar. Makes the beach safer and I like all the color!

Thank you to everyone who purchased pieces from my sale and those who helped spread the word!! You’re all beyond lovely! Here’s a few pieces that found new homes last week! And stay tuned- something new (I think you’re like) is coming next! 👀👀

All my original handpainted artwork is currently 50% off the listed price and I’m offering free shipping in the US! This week only! Check it out here! KateAveryArt.com

1. I love this corner of my studio when the afternoon light comes streaming in over it 2. Look at this magnificent antique mirror I scored at the fleamarket today. I think 2nd quarter of 19th century, but I’ve never seen one in this form that was so tiny and delightfully chunky!

One of today’s works in progress! 💙 🩵💙

Pretty happy with this one. 6x8” oil

Tonight’s work in progress. I think this one’s gonna be pretty damn good.

This is my favorite time of year. When green comes swooshing back to soften all the edges in the landscapes and our souls. 💚🌱🌿🌳💚

Gallery selfie cause I put makeup on for the first time in years 🤷‍♀️

My quince is blooming 🌸🥰

Painted one of my favorite little spots on the Connecticut River- right near Shipyard Falls 🙂 8x10” oil

Today’s work in progress

I gotta hand it to gamblin. They’ve come out with some absolutely terrific new oils in 2026. Each one is an instant favorite. (And no, no one is paying me to tell you that. I just really really like pretty colors!!)

Tonight’s work in progress! Flowers will have to wait till tomorrow- it’s bed time!

Some days are too important not to add a quick joyful sketch to the ol’ to-do list! 🌱🌷☘️🌸🌼🪻🪷🌻🌺🌳🌿
