I never thought about putting dash cams in my cars to protect me from my own government before 2024, but here we are. I want reform now. And I want consequences for those promulgating and perpetrating these abuses upon people.
Video of an ICE agent pulling a gun on a wife and mother, who is a US citizen born and raised in the area, near Bailey's Crossroads in Northern Virginia yesterday. Chillingly, they claimed she “almost ran them over” until she told them she had video proving that was a lie.

War is terrible. Always. Even worse when clowns have no plan or even a consistent reason for their actions… “…Fed economists Dario Caldara and Matteo Iacoviello… [estimate the] effect of risk on the economy suggest a cost of about $200 billion, with a million fewer Americans working in a year.”

This is insane. I wonder what it'll be like when prediction markets bet on when Trump uses nukes and we all just end our existence all ironically. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/23/n...
“Budgets are moral documents.”
There was ONE ATC in the tower at LGA during last night's crash. ONE ATC, at LGA!, dealing w ALL air and ground traffic, including a plane filling w a strange smell and no gate to return to. The Pentagon wants $200B for a vanity war, but our ATC towers are empty. Budgets are moral documents.
If only we had declared war on oil dependence instead of other countries…
Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy. Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.

Equality is good for everyone. Fewer men get injured on the job when equipment is retooled to accommodate women. Win-Win!!
Happy International Mens Day. Men still do the most dangerous jobs. Are more likely to take their own lives. Experience perceived social penalties for being paternal, caring, sensitive etc. So, with consent, hug a man today. Fixing the patriarchy is in the best interests of men too!

Reposting this so I can add this to a protest sign. Related... early voting for Virginia primaries is underway.
If you are National Guard or Active Duty military and you are being ordered to violate the constitutional rights of US citizens then this is the number to the GI Rights Hotline. There is support. You don’t have to go through with it. 877-447-4487
When LEO show up en masse in “plainclothes” they set up a perfect environment for human trafficking. What stops human traffickers from renting a van and pretending to be ICE? Not to mention the many concerns about due process, Executive branch overreach, and the lack of constitutionality. Scary.
Here's a picture that a @kuow.org photographer took in Seattle yesterday, showing the ICE officers masked up in the hallways as they waited to arrest people coming out of their hearings.
I just checked. Still no invasion. Our Constitution, despite gaps, imperfections, and offensive (3/5) metrics, needs to be upheld. Maybe start casually dropping into social conversations that we are not under attack and due process is for all of us. Uphold the rule of law by adding it to a convo.
We are not under invasion. There is no justification for suspending our constitutional rights. Every single American should speak out against this, loudly and forcefully.
If you won’t call it a genocide (which it is, per the academics who study such things) at least call it a MEDIEVAL SIEGE. I wish all those family values members of R leadership would do something to make this better. It’s fully within their control.
This is a searing editorial in the Financial Times. The West’s Shameful Silence on Gaza. If this had been written by students, and not the Editorial Board of the FT, they would be getting snatched off the streets by ICE.
