Hot Take: Websites like Steam Charts have ruined modern videogame discussions because the modern gamer cares more about a game's active player numbers instead of making an effort to actually play videogames

With a lot of speculation and hype going on with Minecraft Live, I want to put out an idea I have had in my head for YEARS now about how they might do an End Update: I have a strong feeling Mojang are going to have us start in the Outer Islands to work our way towards finding and killing the Dragon

Like imagine coming across a tree but it's just... not right. Maybe it's too tall, maybe there's no leaves, that kind of vibe. It's something unique and something I've never seen an End mod pack try to do. It's something so surreal that I feel only Mojang could come up to surprise players with.

If I'm right with my assumptions, I'm going to hang this thread on my wall as a reminder of how much of a fucking genius I am

The End was originally designed as a glorified Boss room and it's WAY too easy to "finish" the game currently. Having the rest of the End "unlock" after you killed the boss always seemed like something tacked on with no real thought behind it besides giving a couple more things for the player to do

Having you have to travel the End to slay the Dragon would be very cinematic and would fit the Adventure aspect of the game Mojang really loves to give to players. I feel the new structures would be copies of the Overworld's, but slightly off, like the Enderman are trying to recreate it by memory.

The most entertaining part of the D23 Themepark Showcase this year was watching the random bits of confetti that fell from the ceiling

Thank you Innersloth for giving people something to actually talk about from Summer Game Fest this year

My heart is broken. I met some of my best friends through this series, I've made memories in this universe I'll carry with me forever. The Final Shape has been the only videogame ending to ever bring me to tears. I miss playing this game every day. There will never be another Destiny 2.

Sometimes I’m glad Elon scared all the advertisers off of Twitter because now I get gems like this

There’s something about watching a game show at your grandparent’s house that just hits different, like hell yeah I’ve always loved Jeopardy

A lot of media I watched growing up really made me believe that quicksand was going to be much more of a problem than it actually is

My birthday is today and it’s fine and all, I just didn’t expect it to be Chinese

Hot take: I miss when the internet was a lot more tight-nit; Covid really did make everything online a lot worse when (for a lack of a better word) “normies” discovered online culture and started participating in it

Amazon really looked at TwitchCon and said “okay but what if everything about our convention this year was the foam pit?”

0/10 Direct honestly, no Silksong news as per usual

Wario64@wario64.bsky.social

Nintendo Direct runtime is about 60 minutes on upcoming Switch and Switch 2 games www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWIE...

It’s insane how both fast but unbelievably long 2025 has felt. Like do you remember that Silksong released THIS YEAR? what a hell of a year it’s been

Having a service dog in the house is so strange because they just know how to open doors somehow, like EXCUSE ME I’m SHITTING IN HERE
