I do need to stop that. I need to stop being so scared of being noticed. It holds me back too much. I've got good reasons for worrying, but still it shouldn't stop me as much as it has been. I need to push past that.

I tend to not say too much of consequence on The Social Mediasβ„’ because you know, it's so fucking easy for people to not know you, not know where you stand, or just bolding misinterpreting what you're saying. But fuck it, maybe I need to make more noise.

Not to co-opt a conversation. But I do find it fascinating how even when you're as blunt as possible with any kind of representation. You will always have people going "Well we don't know that for sure!" Then when you erase any doubt it's "Well I don't like how unsubtle it was!" It's exhausting.

I really love and appreciate subtlety in story telling. It's something I personally strive to learn and do someday. But the last 6 to 8 years have really taught me to appreciate being as subtle as caving someone's head in with a brick. 2/2

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as β€œheadcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it β€œobnoxious” and β€œcringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

FUUUUUCK I just found out I saved over one of the work files I had made this earlier this month. So I've lost the source linework for a bunch of sketches. Luckily I do have most of what was in there saved out as pngs. But still, I can't go back and work on any of that stuff now. Fuck saaaakes
